Curb signs gave me a chance to really expand on my fabrication skillset while having significant variety in tasks every week. 

While the work environment was fast paced, almost every employee worked with each other to assist in completing each job for clients. As a fabricator I was able to reliably call upon the sales team, design team, installers and management if I needed any clarification or help. 

The owner of the company truly does value those who work with him and will try to fill the gaps in each client job to make things run as smooth as possible. He has a policy where he'll personally make sure you have the equipment to get the job done as smoothly as possible. I also never felt discouraged to voice my opinion and doing so was encouraged during occasional full team meetings. 

Hardest part of the job was that occasionally deadlines could be extremely tight, but during those moments asking for help if needed is encouraged. Every morning there was a production meeting where I could reliably voice my opinion on whether or not a deadline was realistic. If needed I was always encouraged, *but not required*, to stay for extra hours in which i would be paid in full to help meet deadlines.

 

At this job multiple larger other department tasks were expected of me due to turn over, despite no pay increase.

Management pushed back at material requests even when broken down by product by square foot usage, to the point were materials were ordered late constantly and resulted in late or rushed projects.

I had a salary position, but was docked hourly for offsite travel and sick days. When this matter of salary vs hourly was brought to management their reasoning was "That's how we do it here." 
At least 3 hours of overtime were expected in order to finish the workload of the day, and being salary I was never paid for that time.

The "fast paced" environment is overscheduling of multiple departments resulting in employees to float between and become burnt out, resulting in high turn over.

I have been in the industry for 8 years, and when I discovered that as department head I was making thousands less than the designer I was training, I had enough.

Curb Signs has been a great company to be a part of. Work can be challenging depending on the project, but we pride ourselves on making the impossible happen.

During my time there, I grew professionally and gained a lot of experience in a number of areas outside of my expertise.

Management can be tough but fair. I have felt comfortable approaching them regarding a number of personal matters. They have been pretty flexible, and the owner has lent me his car on a couple of occasions while mine was out of commission.

The team and culture are supportive and positive. Everyone will work hard to ensure a project is done.

Family owned small business that has rough management issues. No trust in employees an a lot of push blame to installer from both fabrication an management. Overall an easy job if you can last the long hours an all weather conditions. Garrented 40 hours a week but may be required to cut the bosses grass to do so.

I am currently working at Curb Signs Inc and I am thoroughly enjoying it. The work environment is positive and inclusive, and my colleagues are all incredibly talented and dedicated to their roles. The company culture is focused on growth and personal development, and I have already learned so much in my time here. I am excited to continue growing and developing with this company.

Nothing - not at all good company to work at.

Everything - its just very bad.

Very bad - employees are not treated with respect. All fake !

Bad - would not recommend for anyone to work here.

Save for a few friendly employees I did not enjoy my 2 year experience working at curb signs inc.  I would not recommend them as an employer to my peers.  There is a high turnover rate and ownership does not promote high moral.  

There is little work life balance and little reward for hard work.  That is why people do not stay long.  

Love working with the management of this company to grow the business. A lot of trust in the employees in making the right decisions. If something goes wrong, management doesn't get upset but uses it as a learning opportunity to review what went wrong and how to fix the issue and prevent it from happening again.

Passive aggressive and very toxic 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
They ask for work very rarely.

The co workers are nice and friendly there which makes me happy working with them. From here you learned a lot and make friends with good co workers. While the poor management team make people stressful and unhappy. I still not got my last paycheck after I was dismissed by them at the beginning of August
