I have been working at Energy Network Services Inc. for six years, and overall, it’s been a rewarding experience.

A typical day is well-structured and productive, with clearly defined tasks that balance collaborative team efforts and individual projects. During my time here, I’ve gained valuable skills in project management and lighting design, significantly contributing to my professional growth.

Management is supportive and approachable, fostering transparency and trust through open communication. The constructive feedback and genuine investment in team members’ success are commendable.

The workplace culture is a standout aspect, promoting positivity, inclusivity, and strong camaraderie among colleagues. The hardest part of the job can be time management,resources management and client expectations, but this also offers opportunities to develop resilience and problem-solving skills.

The most enjoyable part is the satisfaction of seeing a project through to completion and the recognition received. Overall, Energy Network Services Inc. is a great place to work, encouraging both personal and professional growth.

Some of the workers were good people.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The company is nation wide, so it runs on a corporate structure. Everyone is treated as replaceable. The job is almost exclusively on the road and I was expected to use my own vehicle. The company does give milage on personal vehicles, however it is well below the national average and they refused to pay for the first 150km of any week.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Mixed. The working guys on the bottom level were easy to get along with, however nobody respects the company. So the culture has a lot of everyone looks out for themselves.

I have been working at ENS as a Project Coordinator for almost three months now, and my experience has been nothing short of amazing. The work culture here is truly commendable. The environment is friendly and inclusive, making it easy for anyone to fit in. What stands out the most is the company’s effort in organizing team-building events. These events not only provide a fun break from work but also help in building a strong bond among colleagues. As a new employee, I found the learning curve at ENS to be very beneficial. The company provides ample opportunities for growth and learning, making it an ideal place for anyone starting their career or looking to gain valuable industry experience. In conclusion, I would 100% recommend ENS to anyone looking to join. It’s a company where you can grow professionally while enjoying a positive and supportive work culture.

Best part is you have a job, run by ppl from India, and treated like you are a Easily replaced.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
You have a job, mcdonalds you get discounts. Wage is low at ens

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Good during covid when we needed a job. Now everyone left that was good, don't appreciate employees. Head office is in Ontario, long distance relationships don't work well.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Constantly changing. You could start working at 7am or 11pm. Not well organized by management, accept there schedule or leave

Out of town a majority of the time. Almost always night shift work. No night shift or out of town premium. Very low wages. No experience to be gained from working here. Only swapping ballasts/drivers, or bulbs, with the occasional pole lighting in parkades. Boss at calgary branch is a pathological liar. Promised raise for a year but never delivered. Also lies about upcoming jobs & personal stories. Will send you out of town with vehicles that need service even when you let them know about it for months. Not impressed at all. Did get some experience driving with a trailer tho so there's that I guess. 

Let’s just say there’s a reason benefits don’t kick in until 6 months worked with this company. Everyone leaves before then and they don’t have to pay into benefits because their turnover rate is insanely high. 
This is the company for you if you don’t mind; not having a proper work or sleep schedule because hours/start times change daily, and not being able to plan things in advance or have a personal life. 

And don’t get me started on management in the office, every job will be misquoted, missing material, and you will be expected to pick up the slack and sacrifice your personal time or sleep because of it. 

Working for this company showed me all the things I would never want at my workplace. I started here quite early in my career, hoping to learn and give my best. Managers quickly showed me that it was all about power tripping, toxicity, and favoritism. The company is run by a family, where I kid you not, you can walk into the office and see the 'Manager' applying nail polish, while pawning off her work to you..many people quit shortly after starting, because this office is a poor excuse for a job.

Good for fresher but would not wanna stay here for more than a year. No growth at all but workload keeps on building. Benefits are minimum and do not expect raise until 2 years and that is too minimal. 

Good for learning all about office work culture and microsoft office applications and developing basic skills. 

Worst thing is salary is based on company structure and not on what you are providing in terms of your skills and attitude.

Overall good company to join and learn and leave after a while.

A typical day at work passes quickly because of how much work there is to get done. Workplace culture is very supportive and the management team is open to helping. The hardest part of the job is keeping track of everything and managing stress. The most enjoyable part is that the work has clear concrete results and it is very satisfying to see the culmination of what you've accomplished. 

Schedule for days or nights is based on favouritism. Schedule changes based on manager’s personal opinion. Manager has a lot of stories to tell. Most aren’t true.  I have been told that I’m not allowed to contact head office. Everything needs to go through my manager and then decide if head office needs to know or be involved.
