I won’t call this place a workplace. This is more of a jail. Everytime i feel so depressed when i come to work in the morning and i have to see that stupid face of manager who doesn’t know how to manage people. 

Plz, i request all of you don’t even think to be working here even in your wildest nightmares. They don’t pay you and they don’t give you any upraisal even if you are working here for more fhan 5 years. 

After working for 3 freaking years they finally said me congratulations we are giving you an upraisal of 20 cents. I was so freaking mad that firstly in working at low wages than market’s average and they are freaking insulting me by giving me 20 cents. 
No chances for promotions at all. They won’t appreciate you even if you are doing 3 persons job at once. 
Just freak ennis fabrics man i hate that people i hate that studpid job i hate the management.

No support from senior management or co-workers. Promised equipment and tools were never delivered and warehouse forced to make do with broken equipment. There are a constant shortage of cradles (where rolls of fabrics are stored) and company refuse to purchase more. Despite the lack of resources, space, essential equipment, and staffing, the company just keep dumping more and more inventory into the warehouse.

Owner seem absolutely out of touch with reality on the ground and worker/employer relation in year 2022. 

As long as i stayed it wasn't worth my time. The hours are great Monday to Friday 8-4:30, and holidays off. But for how busy it gets after a holiday its not worth taking the holiday off. It's to physically demanding for the amount of pay. Management is the worse, you cannot express any advancement or ask a question without an extremely rude answer or no help at all "not your job" attitude. Training consists of one day speed talking, then thrown to the wolves.

As much as the people were great who have been there long, the extremely high turn over rate and temp workers going in and out. The surrounding people do non stop training.

I have worked in the company for almost five years. The company is always promoting from within and upper management is very supportive and encouraging. It is a fast paced environment but is also very collaborative. The company also participates heavily in charitable donations and has a sustainability committee that is dedicated to continuing to make the company more sustainable. 

Typical Day at work:
- Answer phones, paging
- Enter Invoices, data entry
- Help on Shipping Table, unload trucks, prepare labels
- Order office Supplies if needed

I learned the policies and safety procedures of working in a warehouse. How to enter in data for all purchases, and make labels

I got along with all management and co-workers, they were a great group of people to work for/with

The hardest part of my job was making announcments. I was really nervous the first time.

I enjoyed working there because the people were great

What is the best part of working at the company?
This company Uses you and then the management that's been there for a life time is all ways right. Pretends to listen and then when things don't go there way the let you go.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Bosses who dont really care. Pretends to be your friend..had an awesome Warehouse mgr whom they let go. Because he was having health issues.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Not great.People don't stay to revolving door

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful always on you case..

A typical day at work consisted of answering calls and servicing the customer. This is a wholesale distributor of fabrics and upholstery supplies. I learned alot about working in a fast paced call center working with J Ennis. Management needs improvement. Co-workers in this environment are great and very supportive to others. The most enjoyable part of this job was working with the customer and directly helping the sales team.

A typical day would include 50-100 customer touchpoints via phone calls or emails answering questions regarding invoices, statements, or credits. Most of the rest of the day you are releasing orders, doing account reconciliation or collections. They have a good work culture and all of the staff I encountered were kind and helpful. The job can be fairly repetitive on a daily basis but overall this was a great experience.


Ennis Fabrics is a great place to work and develop new skills to advance yourself as a professional. The family culture instilled into the business promotes collaboration, empowerment, trust and communication. The entrepreneurial spirit of the company and customer first mentality makes for a fast paced work environment that provides new challenges to overcome.

Fun place to work with very supportive management. Very helpful, patient, supportive co-workers. Although it was very busy, customers were usually very polite, nice, and understanding. The customer Service Team has a lot of responsibilities in terms of completely satisfying their customer needs and I believe that this team at J.Ennis successfully fulfil this role. I really enjoyed working for them plus I believe it helped me build my resume in a more professional manner.
