My cashier position at Family Foods consisted of assisting customers, keeping my work station presentable, and selling lottery and tobacco, all while maintaining a positive attitude. 
The management and coworkers were all incredibly supportive, professional, and easy to get along with, which made the experience that much more enjoyable and beneficial.
Learning how to properly multi-task between phone-calls, taking customers, and handling lottery was hands down the hardest part to get a handle on, but with enough time and practice it becomes manageable.
The greatest aspect of working for Family Foods is definitely the staff. Everyone I worked with was so supportive and genuinely pleasant to be around, which made the whole store run swiftly and efficiently.
Overall it was a fantastic learning experience, especially for a first job.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The owner is amazing the people are great to work with very family orientated business the customers are amazing as well everyone of them absolutely the best place I have ever work in my life would highly recommend this place again I can’t get over how amazing the owner an his wife an daughter are AMAZING people

They thrive to help you better yourself in every way possible

Amazing everyone works together to make the day as smooth a possible 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Doesn’t matter what kind of mood you are in when you walk in that store they make you feel welcome like family

A typical day at work would start by getting my till and making sure our $150 float was in there, then i would move my till over to he customer service area of the store and i would help customers resolve there issues while also selling lottery tickets and taking customers through with low amounts of items. after my shift would conclude i would remove my till and bring it to the back where i would re count and balance the till for tomorrow.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The customers. The type of work that I got to do was enjoyable.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Management. There was no consistency with training, therefore, it made for a toxic environment. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Toxic. A lot of inter-department conflict. No consistency in accountability.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Walking on egg shells. You never know if you are walking into a good day or total turmoil.

A typical day at work was great, I learned a lot about interacting with people and that your customers satisfaction is number one. The management was very well , no complaints. The workplace was medium-fast paced but what had to be done was done. The hardest part of the job was training new staff . I never had any real hard tasks above or below that. The most enjoyable part of the job was the employees and customers . The employees made you feel at home and like family. The customers were extremely happy and very rarely came across a bad bunch.

Worked in the bakery. Everything was really gross, had worms in the flour for a long time. Also a mice problem. Gross environment. They will hire anyone! I would not even want to shop there knowing what goes on behind the scenes. Very poorly treated staff. We are always working way too hard. I have heard alot of complaints from other departments aswell. Never gave me the hours wanted despite being told I would 

I love interacting with the public warmly and professionally in a daily basis. I learned about the position from my colleagues because I did not have experience as a cashier.
The most enjoyable part of the job is to provide customer service and working alongside my co-workers.
The hardest part of the job is to be long hours standing with short periods of break time.

Horrible management with no trust of its employees, you will get in trouble just for talking to someone of equal management, you must only speak to managers. This job was stressful, the managers watch everything on camera and other employees literally get rewarded for snitching on bad behaviour.

i worked at Deli for almost 6years.
Fun working with my kind co-workers, some of them are my friends now. Thought I work in a fast-paced environment, tiring and busiest I still manage to give smile and be kind to our customers.

Very poor communication between staff and management, but good between staff members.
Difficult to undertand management, making it very easy for miscommunications and misunderstandings to occur.
Very good about giving time off and providing shift accomodations.
Very good for a starting student job.
