I truly enjoy working for Moduline Industries , its a fun environment and learning something new everyday! My duties are in the final cleanup where I do many tasks like rough cleaning preparing the home for the painters or wall touchup crew, im always moving around doing other things...at times im pulled from my section to do painting depending on when the home needs to be shipped out. once home is painted we come in and start cleaning up ...getting rid of materials from other production workers....to cleaning the home from top to bottom , dapping, cyliconing around showers, sinks and kitchens and any other place that's needed. you always working with many different people from different departments and we make it a fun work place. Fast pace and always on your feet moving around to what needs to be done before the deadline. Management and co-workers make the job fun and enjoyable lots of fun stories and joking around to make the job fun !! In my previous history always has been customer service based,,,but having to working for moduline as a production worker...is a growing company and able to move any where into different departments to upscale your ability and experience!!! Was laid off ....but would definatly return once call backs are done!! awesome job, great staff, management and a great place to work!!

Work day starts at 7am ends at 3:30pm (5am-5:30pm for overtime)

Basic work day consists of performing a single assigned task to completion on a house and moving on to the next house.
Expected to work outside of your assigned/trained job on demand with threat of bonus removal (cut to daily pay) on refusal or inability. (this standard is not held to everyone equally)

Work difficulty depends on whether you're seen to work hard or not, hard workers are expected to make up for the shortcomings of those that can't keep up any refusal to do so results in loss of bonus. (working hard = more work, while laziness = less work & no real punishment)

Management is severely lacking, most of management has no understanding of job tasks or actual time frames for those tasks.
Management takes the view of more untrained bodies on a given task will speed up that task.
They also do not take advice or criticism when an employee knows how to properly perform a task they do not.

Fellow production employees usually develop a great camaraderie and often make the work day enjoyable.

Hard labour but the pay doesn’t justify it and management actively throws you to the wolves if something goes wrong. No communication from the foremen and the line moves way too fast to solve the problems that arise. Perpetually understaffed as no one wants to stay. 

Not a nice place to work, and especially don’t do it if you’ve got other options. I literally just about got killed on the job and I got basically told to quit whining. That’s the kind of culture they have.

- Have never worked in a construction atmosphere, so Everything regarding electrical was new to me. I loved the challenge and its fun to learn new skills. I learned to work with power tools and overcame my intimidation of them and now knowing when I'm told to do a specific job I now know what tools I'll need to complete the task,
- Production line is fast paced and management has high expectations to keep production moving.
- My co-workers, one in particular is a master electrician, has taken me under his wing to teach me what I need to know to do my job; with accuracy and short cuts for speed. I get along well with all my co-workers and we make the job fun.
- The hardest part o the job is the physical part. sometimes keeping your arms above your head for long periods of time or the heavy lifting and stepping up and down ladders has been very hard on my body. But I enjoy the challenge and I get to laugh at myself.
- The most enjoyable part of the job is definitely the people I work with. They all have charismatic personalities and they make the job fun,

I no longer work there and filed a prohibited action complaint with WCB shortly after leaving there

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Management hiding safety info, the company was fully aware of serious safety issues and chose to hide and cover up issues.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The workers are solid and tend to know there jobs and get it done,

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It was a regular safety routine, safety meetings, inspections, training, assisting when i could. It took months to computerize all their safety paperwork, which had not been done in years, it looked to me like many safety people had been thrown under the bus by management. Many serious safety infractions.

Set Production goals with my team of Foreman, Identify any potential hold ups that may slow down the line, Daily Hours collections of 1-200 employees, Managers Meeting with General, Sales, Quality Control, Service, Drafting and Accounting Managers. Communicate all meeting notes to those involved, Walk the line to assure all Production Goals are being met. Assist on solutions for those that are not. Promote a Personal level to all employees by knowing names positions and making them enjoy their working environment. Make sure all Maintenance schedules are being met advise on Priority of new issues, work with human resources on staffing and all employee complaints.

Worst contruction job I have ever worked at. The management are demanding and inconsiderate. They only care about the number of homes they push out, quality and safety aren't even a consideration. They will offer you a $2 dollar team bonus when hired and then use it as leverage to make you work overtime whenver they want. If you cant make it for any reason , even if valid, they will take the bonus away. Every month you loose money for a comitee who also does nothing in 3 years i had one pizza day , but money came out for the association every cheque regardless.

fun fast paced work environment with lots of different positions, cross training, learned a lot about general construction, the wages were pretty good but the cost of living in the area did not match that. the one problem with working here is the harder you work the more work you are given. lazy people get left alone. union over protective of bad employees.

Great place to work, great people. If I had the chance to retire there I would. And if I needed time off, which by the way was rare it was granted no problem. All my co-workers were very helpfull in teaching me skills I needed to know. This is truly one of if not the best place to work. If I get the chance to work for this company agian I would go back there in a heart beat.
