NEW VENTURE SAFETY SERVICES

I worked for new venture for about 2.5 years and I genuinely loved it id highly recommend it to anyone that lives north of Calgary (so you don’t have to drive 5+ hours to get to the main office) the job pays extremely well and after learning everything you need to do on the specific sites is pretty relaxed. Only problem is the lack of notice for jobs (not really their fault) since they get contracts maybe a week in advance they are usually calling with 48 hour notice for jobs that will last anywhere from 3 days - 3 weeks. So if you live anywhere near Whitecourt I’d highly recommend.

Your truck is warm (in the shop) when you do your inventory, your vehicle is warm (in the shop) when you return from rotation. You have all the equipment & medications you need to do your job.  You get as much or little input from the office as you require/request.  They don’t micromanage but are quick to reply to requests for advice/information. 

Management are medics/fire fighters so they understand the needs of field staff 

I wanted to do well for this company but it became evident very quickly that would never have be the case, due to major organizational behaviour issues, affecting the entire company. Like most industrial employers, they will over promise and under deliver. 

New Venture is the best place I’ve worked and has the best management hands down. Management understands the importance of family and does its best to balance work but does what it can to get the job done in a volatile industry. 

New Venture is an incredible oilfield services company. The people are easy to work with. The managers are easy to work for. The equipment is superlative.

The only down side is the oil and gas industry is slow and the people at New Venture are so good it's hard to share the work.

Great work life balance. Company keeps employees busy. Even if theres nothing going on in the field, they allow employees to keep busy in the shop. Staff is extremely friendly and welcoming.

Management is top notch, work locations are sometimes remote with extended time away from home and family but is a great place to work with a great safety culture working on frac sites, drilling and plant sites with top notch equipment.

I loved my time with New Venture. The office staff was always understanding and they always took care of me. I would definitely tell anyone to work for this company.

Working in the oil and gas industry has always had its ups and downs, work schedules are not always convenient. Clients that hire the company are great and the office put me working with the ones i enjoy to work for.   

the people I worked with were great and I loved my job. little to no work,  lack of call outs.  and job security was not good. the wage for always being away from home and out of town cold have been a lot better.
