I got hired in January and was ecstatic as I was on the hunt for a job. I was hired for the Receptionist role.

Save yourself the trouble! HORRIBLE Management, SUPER long hours. No RESPECT or GROWTH. You are worked like a slave! You are expected to stand the entire shift and only get to sit once you are relieved for your break. I'm talking 5-7 hours.They should honestly consider putting a desk at the front end for any future receptionist. My feet were sore and red by the end of my training shifts. They have no fridge to place your lunch or eat your lunch, which I find absurd in a work place setting

I was spoken to condescendingly each time I made an error or forgot a step. Whether it was how I greeted a customer to not rushing to offer to hang their jacket or something to drink. There are TOO many stylists to remember and the type of services each has to offer. There are 2 phones with 4 lines, plus having an ear out for a customer coming. The manager is a tyrant and truly seems miserable. It is a huge disservice to the Stlyists and anyone else who work for her. They were the most sweetest and understanding people I've met. What my last straw was when she made one of her Assistants cry and was gossiping about it to her experienced Receptionist. Luckily, I had gotten a job offer for what I studied for and handed in my resignation that day. It was my 3rd training shift. That should speak for itself. I started my new job the next day and have been very much happy.

THE MANAGER IS A TYRANT. 
I never write reviews, but I believe in paying it forward for this one and preventing you guys from wasting your time.

I LITERALLY QUIT AFTER LESS THAN A DAY WITH HER
Lets just say one of the first things the manager ever said to me during training was "when I'm talking, you're listening." Then when I tried to interject to ask her a question during training she just gave me this look as if to say "um I'm still talking." Enough said. And literally EVERY SINGLE THING (no exaggeration) that came out of her mouth was equally if not more condescending. 

I believe in working for strong women, but there's a difference between strong and just plain disrespectful. When you're starting in a new role you're going to make mistakes, but when I made a mistake I felt like a child being disciplined. In my limited time there I gathered that all of the staff felt the same way and dealing with the manager is just another part of the job!

NOT WORTH MINIMUM WAGE

The organizational structure itself is awful. Natural Solutions is part of a chain of multiple salons that are owned by YourSpace Salons. Over 1000 employees and no HR. So management is left to deal with all employment concerns. Disorganized business model. Very poor management. Absolutely no room room to grow as a hairstylist or aesthetician. You're stuck making minimum wage for at LEAST three years unless you are able to make commission. (Which is rare). Pay in general is absolutely horrible. Working here for an extended period of time tainted the entire experience of the industry for me, and pushed me to change careers all together. This company has a frustrating stagnancy of employee development and advancement efforts. If I could give 0 stars I would. I worked in multiple locations for many years so its not just this location. 

They definitely need to replace the manager of NATURAL SOLUTIONS/TONYC/CURIO ASAP!!
I was working here for three months for placement as an esthetician. I understand I am not getting paid but I am there to gain experience, BUT WHAT EXPERIENCE?! She made me sort nail polish, cut wax strips, sweep the HAIR DRESSERS FLOORS! 
Every time I was going to assist another Esthetician on a client, she would get so angry and told me not to touch HER clients! 
I left after a month and some, and decided to finish placement at my college instead.
Her attitude towards anyone "below" her is indescribable. 
Understand that people are quitting this salon because of the BOSS not any other reason.

A typical day involved, desk work, client file management, optimal client experience in the salon and spa, and a pleasant and professional environment. I learned about the business and owner parts of running a salon as I was an assistant. I learned the behind the scenes for wedding party preparation. I learned how to work in a salon that had a spa, which requires other abilities as they are different types of environments for clients. My co-workers were fantastic and knowledgeable. The hardest part of the job was being able to be available at all times, even during breaks. The most enjoyable part of the job was the constant education.

I worked here for a month.. In the interview the manager will be nice, and tell you that she's there to help you while you learn the ins and outs of reception. She's lying. 
In my month there I was belittled for every single thing I did. If I couldn't read her mind I was yelled at, if I didn't know how to do something I wasn't even trained on yet I was yelled at. 
If you don't do everything her way, she will basically tell you you're stupid. The smallest things set her off (example: Right clicking to copy and paste instead of pressing ctrl+C. Like ???) 
She is honest to got the worst person I have ever had the displeasure to work for, and I have had some terrible bosses. 

Save yourself the stress, anxiety and embarrassment and work somewhere else..

If you look at all the posting for salons in STC they’re all managed by the same woman 
She’s absolutely the worst person to work for and uppercut management makes sure nothing she does gets punished
She will scream at you in front of clients and coworkers and treat you as if you’re dumb
Your workload is huge you’re not allowed to sit down ever and you’re lucky if you get your legally entitled break
Your shifts will also change last second with no concern for what full or part time actually means 
Also the pay rate is a joke for what you have to do 
You’re expected to act like an assistant manager/admin assistant for pennies and abuse

The management obviously has not learned anything. If she's unhappy, just get lost. It's true that she's extremely disrespectful. She's an unhappy person who strains to be in authentically friendly. The ego in her is going to be her downfall.
It's no wonder, the location is always looking for stylist.
I stayed 3 weeks and decided it wasn't worth it to put my integrity on the line to be undermined.

Management has no self-respect as far as I'm concerned. Such companies will be a thing of the past.
Good riddance to bad garbage

Answering phone calls, booking appointments, handling all client inquiries, cashing clients out, selling retail products

Learned how to treat clients 100% 
Management is good always making sure everything flows
Culture is mixed everyone gets along
The hardest part of the job is dealing with clients that are always late
The most enjoyable part of my job is making every customer happy
