Great experience with members of the course, terrible experience with management. Management treat employees poorly and do not address concerns. Management gossip with employees about you and talks down to servers/bartenders. Servers pay a tip out but the tip out doesn’t go to the kitchen it goes towards bonuses for the management and I don’t think that’s fair to the kitchen staff. Management not always helpful during peak busy times, would be too busy doing other things.

Other than a really hostile chef, this was a really fun place to work. Management was wonderful and everyone was always laughing and having a good time when this chef wasn't barking at people 




I enjoyed my work as a custodian. My daily chores starts with sanitizing my hands for health reasons. I have learned alot of good skills throughout my employment. I get along with management. I never have come across a job that i though was diffucult, if it was i would ask a supervisor for assistance. The most enjoyable part my work is taking pride of what i accomplish on a daily basis.

What is the best part of working at the company?
free pop, nothing else really.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
the rude members, faulty management 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
not super fun, low tech for working

I would recommend if you’re looking to advance your skill set you look elsewhere . Sous chef is awesome executive is lacking people skills and often bad mouths staff behind their backs . Food and beverage manager is absent most of the time . Jr sous is disrespectful and ignorant but has good culinary skills

Worst place I have worked in 30 years, the chef when I was there ( now gone) had a huge attitude with very limited skill. The jr sous was ignorant and very immature. The food and beverage manager was never there. No tips. Thankless work 

Niakwa had long hours but had awesome benefits when serving weddings, management did well and the staff were great. I learned many things from all the different type of people working there.

Management Talks behind your back, servers give you dirty looks, good thing is you get one meal per day, they will make you work on Sunday night pass midnight, with no bus fair or shuttle!! I did learn a lot in the 3 months but you can’t speak your own mind if you do you get yelled at,

Not really any support from management whatsoever. People were great, other than cliques and there always being drama and gossip. You make one mistake though and I would start thinking about another job before they don't coach you, guide, or teach in any way. 

Awesome place if a got another chance to do that again I would be nice and and follow instruction carefully don’t rush to get the job done after and bring a water container
