Typical day at work is far from typical, this is a place where you can build a business to call your own, You make calls to new and friendly people, schedule appointments to sit in with them and show them some basic concepts of finance. If they are happy with what they have seen and allow it, you work these concepts into their situation to see if it helps them achieve their goals. The company mission is to help people become properly protected in their income, debt free and financially independent. They are not a sales force but rather a coaching service, with a no-pressure approach to helping people make better sense of their financial situation. 

You never stop learning as this industry makes constant changes. I have learned how to work with people one on one and apply strategies to put them in their best possible position. You're also constantly working on self improvement, how to be a better person at home, in life, in relationships, in business, and self improvement is constantly encouraged. This is the best place to be if you ever want some experience in business ownership.

The management isn't the typical management, this is a team environment. It's incredibly supportive and always looking to help each other succeed and reach their highest potential. Training is extremely comprehensive and goes at your own pace. 

Seeing the team everyday is always joyous, we have so much fun working together, brainstorming ways to get much needed information out to the community, helping each other out, telling stories and sharing ideas. There has never been a more friendly and inviting office environment. 

The hardest part of this job is getting started, as most people come in and are accustomed to the 9 to 5 job role where their role is clearly defined. In this business you are finding your own clients and generating new ones from there, but the hardest part is getting through those initial first clients to get comfortable with presenting and teaching and learning about people and how they react to being shown something that can change their lives. People can be very unpredictable, and sometimes it's hard not to take things to heart.

The most enjoyable part of the job is providing the services we do and seeing your client immediately be put into a better financial position, knowing that you've started them down a path to a more comfortable and educated life.

In 1984 I was diagnosed with an illness and as a result could not return to university. I worked at menial jobs most of my life, washing dishes, delivering pizzas, call center, etc. I initially joined Primerica in 2002, but developed an attitude because my trainer failed to call any of the ten people I prospected. This wasn't the fault of the company it was just my trainer wasn't very good. The next time I got involved with Primerica was in 2011. Again, I developed an attitude and I left. Both times I had paid for and signed an IBA. When I first joined I was 39 years old. I will be turning 56 in a month and wish I had of stayed with Primerica for my own financial health. I have not saved any money in my 56 years of life and I have very little. I joined Primerica for the third time in September of 2018, I passed my life license certification on the first try, something I thought I could never do. I was shocked! I am now life licensed with my province of residence and I am in the process of building my business and I really want to help people become financially independent. I put some money aside in investments and am waiting on a twenty year term insurance contract for myself. I'm older now and happily married to a beautiful woman. I just wish I hadn't allowed my attitude to take me out back in the day. I would have been so much healthier, financially, than I am now. At the time of this writing I am the top new rep for my province in sales and I'm very proud of my accomplishments. It's been said that anyone can do this business, but not everyone will. I hope to be financially independent by the time I'm seventy five. That time may come sooner, it all depends on my attitude and my willingness to work hard. The prospects for me becoming financially independent outside of Primerica look very grim and I don't want to wash dishes anymore. Primerica is my only hope.

Primerica financial services company of Canada was a great place to work. There were plenty of people from different cultures and backgrounds which i loved because it gave me a chance to learn a lot of new as well as interesting things. Everyone there was very supportive and positive no matter what their position or rank in the company, it was more like a family then anything else. Everyone wants you to succeed there as well as anywhere else in your life.
 
I learned the importance of your attitude and how it can determines a lot in your day to day. For Example; If you are in a bad mood no matter if you express it or not your mood can be contagious even unintentionally. Just like the phrase "a smile goes a long way". I also learned that the only person who stands in your way is yourself, because it is no ones duty other then your own to take action and accomplish your goals in life. 
 
 My "typical" days were any thing but typical i did a lot of different things every single day i was there. One day i could have anywhere from 1-15 field training or client appointments, some in the office, some in different corners of the city, some in different cities. Then one other days i could have training seminars for my team and others who my have missed their own, and even myself to be sure our office was running smoothly and keeping everything up to date. Then some days were simply just administrative/ HR doing interviews for potential new additions to the team, organizing and/or submitting paper work for clients, licensing requirements, and catching up on correspondence and some days its could be a combination of everything. Everyday was a new and different challenge which i may have disliked at times but what i enjoyed the most about it all.

In spite of the exaggerations told at their "opportunity" meetings, the reality is, after you pay your sign up fee, you will then be asked to have a free analysis done where it will be strongly suggested you buy a term policy and investments for yourself.  You will be asked to provide a list of all friends and family so they can hit on them.  It will be suggested you sign up for their $30/month online access fee.  You will be offered to purchase training manuals/cds/dvds etc etc.  You will be asked to attend two weekly training/opportunity meetings including one every Saturday.  You will be asked to pay to attend special motivational seminars regularly.  Reps are responsible for all expenses.  In 2015, they reported that the average rep sold 2.54 policies for the whole year.  Those commissions won't even cover your basic expenses, which explains why 67% of their reps and recruits leave the company each year.  The truth is, all the bragging about 6 digit income earners refers to the 2% that got in early years ago.  Its a typical churn and burn pyramid operation, and realize that in order to stay alive and entice recruits, reps are required to exaggerate to the extreme, especially by telling half truths.  Before you join, ask to see the T4's of the top 10 in that office for the last 3 years.  Ask to speak to other reps who've been there more than even a year.

This would be a good opportunity to become financially free, but you have to know lots of people! And if you don't, you will have to work 3 times as hard to know people in the first 6 months before you will excel in this business. Yes! It is insurance! But do not under estimate the power it can do for you and your family. Lots of people thinks Canada is a country that will give you all the benefits. It will take care of you when you retire.  But how many people ACTUALLY retire in good terms? When you are sick, take times off work, will your bills stop coming? I have seen too many cases, where a senior who is for sure over the age of retirement but still working. Maybe, they cannot stop working, or maybe their saving wasn't enough.... A very common thing that js happening in the world, inflation is going too fast, our taxes is killing us. But our pay?.... An average person will start buying their first house at the age of 35 (without parents help), and mortgage for 35 years so the truth is when you finally pay off your house, you will be 70.  I want everyone who read this message, think about what i wrote, see if its right. See it yourself, and think about what i said if its true....

As a receivable manager in a biggest insurance co. in the Gulf area, every day I had a challenge to supervise a team of 25 accountants and group leaders through five regional offices, our team was responsible for all receivable related activities and cash applications to collect and reconcile huge premium (1.2 Billion $ per year).

My day started by review yesterday's reports showing the performances of the staff, accuracy of transactions, aging report and check the internal emails received from either staff, other departments, clients, brokers, agents and franchisees and take the necessary action immediately based on the priority.

The real challenge was how to satisfy all stakeholders by solving their problem without breaking the policies and procedures, also how to distribute the daily assignments to the staff concerning the capability of each one to get the requested job timely and accuracy.

Actually, I learned how to motivate the people to maximize their give, also how could I balance between the friendly and business relationship.

At the end of the day, when I leave my office without any pending action or unsolved problem this is the most enjoyable moment however the efforts I spent. 

Typical day is to get to the office, start coffee, get system up and running, check phone for messages and income emails.
I Like to work for Primerica it is a great company to work for, great work environment.
I support clients within the financial services of Primerica to help develop our investors' personal financial goals. Creating this goals through various avenues and using my strong communications and verbal skills, researched and identify potential  securities that would best suit an investors need, I am self-motivated and independent worker that needed no prompting to see tasks that need to be done and do what was required to complete goals and expectations on a deadline.
I have learned about the business through the exceptional company training, they have great support within the company. 
The hardest part of the job is some times to reach your sale goals.
The most enjoyable part of the job would have been the interaction with the clients.

You will not get a fixed salary at Primerica but despite everything you might have heard, it pays insanely more than anything else you might want to sell.

Because it's in one of the 3 areas where people get rich: Finances, Stock exchange and  real estate.  If you're not a stock exchange genius or don't have the necessary funds  for real estates, consider insurance and savings : this company will cover most of your costs to be legal, licenced and welll trained. 

If you trust yourself and you're willing to work hard, you'll be succesful. Expect something like an average of 1500$ for 30 hours of work. This is  lower than what I was making. 

I left because of a divorce wich made me lose my team.  

Please note that you might want to study the team you are planning to tie yourself with. It is way more important than anything else related to your success. Find a winning team (every result is shared and transparent from sales to paycheck). You will get stuck for life if you find a loosing team or a bad leadership. It can ruin everything or at least make your life quite harder for no good reasons.

A day at work would usually pass by with a lot of phones calls to applicants, recruits, clients and the manager. I would typically talk to applicants about what the job was about, conduct on-the-phone interviews, call them in for face-to-face interviews and conduct the interviews myself. I would also call recruits to remind them of the jobs that they need to carry out in order to be promoted. Clients that need help would usually call me at my office and I would be a customer service representative. At the end of the day, i would report to the manager about any issues that I am not sure of. I learned that it is a very complicated job with a lot of responsibilities. The hardest part of the job was to actually deal with angry clients. The most enjoyable part of the job was to conduct interviews, where i learned about the experiences of different people who applied for the job.

Meetings & training are key in this business as well as activity management. Compassion, understanding & patience are key in this field of work. I learned a lot with regards to the financial industry and products available & how vulnerable people feel with regards to their finances. Arming clients with knowledge & aiding them to make their own informed decisions is key. Trainers & coaches are available and will work with you, to help you advance in your career. Having the self-confidence to do this career choice is key, lack of self-confidence will definitely provide a road block, unless you choose to work on it & build it. Quite enjoyable part is knowing you've helped someone protect themselves financially, even if a person doesn't become a client, learning something new & building their knowledge, so they can make informed choices, is very rewarding and earns a person's respect.
