This was the worst job I ever had. Such toxic organizational culture. Hr is a joke and is only there to protect the company. Don't know why there's even a union because they are no help either. Almost all of the managers from the IT department quit.. 7 in a span of 2 years. They quit because they are out of scope so what little protection you got from the union, they got zero. I do not recommend ever working at this he'll hole.

Worse job experience. Avoid claims department. The trainers themselves need trainings on learning curve, tolerance, diversity & inclusion. They are pretentiously nice, but biased and vindictive. Union is non existent because they will only give you platitudes. And, don't fall for their offer of a permanent appointment, you will be laid off before six month if they don't like your face!

If you are educated there is no room for advancement as you are likely hired at the top, case loads are high, expectation stats are unreasonable, lots of coverage. If you have no education this is a great place to work. You do get every second Friday off, flex time and fun days like office olympics, hot dog days, chip and dip day etc. Once they tried (unsuccessfully) to apply lean management a few years ago everything went downhill.

WCB was a nice place to work. I enjoyed the job, as there was lots to do, and my coworkers were wonderful. The job itself I liked, but felt management could have been improved on. I hope to find a job similar to being a health care coordinator.

Poor  training and on boarding for new staff. Trainers felt they knew it all but honestly need to better learn how to communicate expectations to trainees.
I only spent a short time there but witnessed favouritism and conscious bias first hand.
A number of their staff need diversity and inclusion training 

They provided a month worth of training which was helpful. There would be meetings every morning to discuss process improvements to better serve customers. It was a call centre environment which can get boring pretty fast but they offered overtime during the busy season. Overall it was an okay place to work.

I like the work culture and learned a new work culture in Canada. This is my first company in Canada. I like the Mission Zero concept and the application they provide to users for reporting an injury, new business registration and employee insurance are awesome.

High workload, poor management/supervision, no room for advancement, job was not what it was described. Morale was poor, lots of cynicism among staff. Interaction with clients was limited due to structure of job and workload. 

Experiences can vary by team and leadership. In some areas, the culture is very directive, with limited context provided for requests and unclear processes. Workloads can be difficult to sustain long term.

Zero accountability
Lack of leadership at the senior level.
Lots of bosses but no leaders.
Hidden agendas
Micro-management.

Workers are good but leadership lacks.

Would not recommend until big changes happen
