Expect very little support from your Manager, through the on-boarding process, as well as day to day. 
Expect the train yourself on the in’s and out’s of the position.  Prepare to read through and interpret the material and make sure you  don’t deviate from the script. 
Expect little or no support from the newer RAMP team members, a bit of a closed circle.  The more experienced RAMP members are nice and will help, but not valued at all by the company. 
Expect management meetings to be useless,  owners run the show and don’t want any input that deviates from their “reality”
Expect ownership behaviour in the meetings to be inappropriate for 2025, comments made and demeanour really unacceptable in today’s workplace. 
Expect a total lack of respect for the franchisees. 
Expect your sales efforts used to justify an outdated sales process. 
Expect very little support as you learn your job,  just get that first service agreement signed.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
 Cavalier management of the telemarketing department. Management can be bullying to new recruits. This unfortunately is excused due to seniority of management. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
 Supervisors of the telemarketing department are toxic. They bully you at work. If you stand up against them, they’ll become petty and find ridiculous reasons to fire you. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Working at the telemarketing department is Stressful because you’ll never receive honest feedback about your performance, you’ll never know if you’re going to get fired.

When I started working for Schooley Mitchell, I liked the hybrid model and the job itself.  But I was quickly discouraged with the lack of training and the fact that most of management were related family. In 7 months, I never had a performance review and there was a lot of talk about the toxicity in the environment. I kept my head down, was friendly to everyone and then in the middle of my workday, I was called and fired because they felt I wasn't where I should have been. If this were true, the company never gave me any warning or opportunity to improve. I was also fired over video by two people I didn't even know. I would not recommend this employer to anyone. High staff turnover, no training, and no employee support. 

There is a lot of things one could say about Schooley Mitchell. But truly they lack any respect, intelligence or compassion. The call center in Kitchener is managed by two people; their management style is manipulation, intimidation & humiliation.  

All together the Kitchener call center has a lack of guidance, no goals and is horribly mismanaged. The Kitchener call center location is in disarray thanks to the current management duo and there band of gossipy busy-bodies. 

They also will chose when and how much they feel like paying

AVOID IF YOU CAN. 

My supervisor was amazing, so I truly have no complaint about this portion.

However, I was there for barely a month — and received two pay checks that were late. I ended up finding alternative employment and quit, and they were also late filing my ROE.

Pay is every 15th / end of the month (if you’re lucky to receive it on time). Salary is below average, but they offer hybrid work — requiring two days in office.

For the trouble I’ve went through, combined with some people who currently work there that I’ve spoken with — they’ve repeatedly have had issues.

If you’re looking for a great supervisor, but risk not being paid on time for a poor salary — it’s for you.

I worked as an expense analyst and had a lot of fun. I loved the people I worked with and the job was challenging enough to keep me engaged, but not so hard I didn't enjoy doing it. There seems to be a lot if room for growth there. The only reason I left was to go back to school, otherwise I wouldn't have left. The owner is very compassionate which I certainly appreciated. The biggest downfall for me was the pay. I think everyone deserves more in this day and age. No benefits either but wasn't the end of the world for me.

I worked for this company for a bit. Some management was really friendly, but the management within a particular department was horrendous.. the expectations are very high for the product that is being sold when it sounds like a sales pitch coming from the phone. The monthly meetings at restaurants are great, but being part of the call centre your pushed to the side at these meetings because you’re seen as an important

Fast paced, ever-changing Educational

Pay is good, hours good, and consultants are mostly good. Management is petty, childish, malicious to some. Advancement only happens if you really get close with management. Advancement is not based on experience or work ethic but rather a popularity contest. 
Work there only if you have really thick skin and can handle drama. 

With all positions there are learning curves however I found at Schooley there was always Coaching available. Coworkers that were always there with a smile and a position that allowed for customer relations and the possibility for truly helping them connect with a consultant that could genuinely help their business. I believed in the structure.
