Storm Crow Manor

You would think this place would have more of its stuff together since its been around. but NO

HIRING:
-was a group orinetation
-everything was so unorganized. training papers were missing, moving locations alot ,etc

MANAGEMENT:
-is horrible! they seem nice at first but after that they just dont care anymore
-they will lose important documents
-will not answer emails/forget to talk about things unless its about them
-some managers do help during service

INCLUSIVE: 
-this place is not inclusive, you would think being in the village, they would try to have more diverse employees and actually be accesible to people that arent able bodied
-they do let you wear whatever you want within reason

EMPLOYEES:
-everyone is so tight knit that it can be hard to fit in , unless you drink every night
-very unprofessional, even infront of guest
-most employees dont follow health code,

SANITATION:
-things are not cleaned as often as they should be, Especially during covid

TIPS:
-tip pool
-decent amount

AVERAGE DAY:
-needlessly running up and down the stairs. 
-guest are fun to interact with

STAIRS:
-are dangerous for everyone invloved.
-you will fall atleast once
Because this place is old they cant actually clean it as efficently as a newer bulding. so there are many weird smells everywhere.

Even though its a tip pool. Servers only care about their own area and will not help you.





I was initially deceived by the gimmick behind the business, and was overly thrilled when I had gotten hired. I was excited to work for a place that, during my interview, had promised to be welcoming, family-like, supportive, and fun.

This place was none of those things. It was horribly run by people that seem to have no clue how to run a business. If you have a problem, don't bother discussing it with them because they will never do anything about it and will in turn go and gossip to everyone about what you said. The employees (very few do happen to be welcoming and kind) are rude, competitive, gossipy, and unprofessional. They would bully and alienate people, which led to a lot of people quitting (among the million other problems with this place).

You will be overworked and teased with the idea of upper wards mobility in terms of a promotion, but it will never happen unless you're "in" with the "cool kids". No matter how good you are at your job, how kind you are to others, how hard you push yourself, you might never be acknowledged or promoted.

Working for the Storm Crow Manor was a very fun experience from which I learned volumes, though I felt as though the management team were often at odds with each other and unable to truly provide there team with the support they often needed (Not for lack of trying). Praise would come one day with mastication coming the next. I enjoyed my time there for the most part, but felt as though staff were a low priority in terms of maintenance which could lead to frustration at times. The space is great and constantly changing in terms of aesthetic, and I look forward to visiting in the future. Overall I would recommend the Storm Crow as a place of employment with the stipulation that everywhere has it's issues, and they are not an exception.

Storm Crow Manor has been an excellent place to work! First of all the environment is lovely, a nerd bar in the village? Yes please! The guests are here for the niche and treat you differently than if you work at a chain. Management is so encouraging and understanding, they really encourage you to be yourself and to enjoy what you do. The coworkers are lovely and truly make you feel like family (not how other places pretend to either). I was hired as a server and eventual supervisor which I progressed to after 3 months. The job is what you expect as a server, if not better. Overall I’ve been so pleased to join the Crows and genuinely enjoy coming to work! Also don’t fear the stairs, I promise you get used to them. 

Working at the Storm Crow Manor was overall a great experience. They have beautiful specialty drinks which I love to serve and the guest love to drink, they have great food options with a large vegan selection, and they have a beautifully designed interior which is differently themed in every room and always gives a wow factor to the guests. Employees are often kind and supportive which makes the shifts more smooth and enjoyable. I really enjoyed working there overall and if your hardworking and nerdy, I think you would enjoy it as well. 

Storm Crow was one of my first restaurant jobs and it’s been such a fun learning experience. The work culture is great; teammates are in good moods and everyone’s willing to help out. It’s a two story restaurant so be willing to run food and buss bins up and down stairs but the clientele and team make it worth that extra effort. My biggest suggestion would be to apply as a support/host/bar back and work up to being a server or bartender as there are many small things to learn that other restaurants don’t have (dry ice, glow in the dark drinks, drinks that require specific audios to run, etc). 

It’s been a refreshing change of pace to have managers on site who take my side when having argumentative guests. I have the tools and freedom to handle things myself but when it’s busy (which is quite often) management is there to help. They care about their menu and aren’t willing to cut costs at the guests expense. 

I love the culture and the team at Storm Crow. They appreciate hard work and proactivity and you can expect the same from everyone in the team. My one and only con is that I always want more hours than what I get.

I do not recommend working here if you're looking for a management role. The culture is very toxic and senior management is either inexperienced, clueless or lazy. All that matters is getting on certain manager's good side. Be prepared to be yelled at and spoken to like a child. 

Good summer money, pretty slow in the winter

Could be cliquely at points, but everyone is nice for the most part
