As far as I can tell, most of the problems with the company lie with the President.

Firstly, this is a family company run by the president and his significant other. On multiple occasions, they are verbally abusive to employees in both the office and on the shop floor. Many times have they belittled employees in meetings or insulting them face to face. I've never seen so many people that frustrated/crying on a regular basis. It is a very unhealthy work environment and other employees told me to follow their lead and ignore the president as much as possible... Which is not a great way to work. Needless to say, none of the employees had positive views on the president.

Next, the president presides over every aspect of work. This is beyond micromanagement, and is unbearable. Professionals, experts in their work are often ignored when making design choices and decisions are made on feeling rather than calculation. Furthermore, while the engineers and designers did the work, they did not have the freedom to make any choices, so you will not gain any design skills as a result. The best way I can explain all of this, is that the president is an ex-engineer and has not learned how to work with technology (MS Office, CAD, Email) and as a result he hires people to do all of it (including reading his emails to him because he was not able to access them) and this makes the company incredibly inefficient. The president on multiple occasions also brings in consultants for various jobs, then refuses their advice on thing he objectively has no expertise in because it doesn't match his vision even though his is objectively worse and outdated.

I will admit I hated just about every moment of my work there, but I assure you none of my points were exaggerations, they all represent my time there. Most of the employees who remain have an exit plan for the company and the turnover of employees is very high. The only positive point I have is that the office workers other than management are very kind, very intelligent and very good at what they do. They are the only reason this company remains afloat.

I’ve been working at UTV International in the manufacturing team, and honestly, it’s been great. The company is super focused on building top-quality vehicles, and it feels awesome to be part of a team that’s doing something this cool.

The management actually listens to your ideas, and everyone works together really well. It’s not just about showing up and doing your job; you get to be involved in building some seriously innovative stuff. Plus, they give you the tools and training you need to get better at what you do.

The team is awesome too—super supportive, and we all take pride in what we’re building. Seeing the vehicles we make in action out in the field is a pretty cool feeling. If you like hands-on work and being part of a company that’s making a difference, I’d definitely recommend it!

Simple and precise with no supervisor attitude

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy and committed  to have set goals attained

Usually my work days was starting from saluting with super visor who was giving me the task like a part in aluminum, plastic, still with drawing, specifications and dimensions for certain hols or reducing diameters of the shafts witch I had to do with milling or lait. This type of work takes a concentration, attention, precision and time, what I who’s approving with satisfaction and time to time with the respectful help from super visor of same specifications.

I am so happy I have the chance to work at UTV. It's a great team of people to work with. Management is always kind. They have been patient and good teachers for my training. There is no office politics like you find in downtown Montreal offices. Everyone is treated equally here. 
They show their employees that they are all valued and hard work is appreciated. It is family run, which I think is great because they make you feel like your part of a family.

Managing shifting priorities can be challenging, but seeing growth, successful projects, and the impact on the company’s success makes it rewarding. I’ve learned the importance of agility, communication, and alignment with goals to drive results.


Manufacturer of utility mobile crawler crane, good support and guidance from designer in verification interpretation of construction drawings for actual constructions....unfortunately no much fringe benefits has to offered.. Breaks of 10 mins. in morning and afternoon...

Collaborating with the engineers and clients and actually seeing what you are selling being built before your eyes

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
communication w. upper management

Family run business. High paced with a lot of changes daily. Can be stressful at times. Need to have a thick skin to be working here and quick on your feet. If so, there's a lot of opportunities for you here. If you need lots of structure and hand holding then this is not your place.


This is a very good company for work, are many options for overtime and flex schedule, are many task to do every day, good coffe in your break time!!, greetings UTV International.
