Working in the frozen department of a grocery store can be a rewarding experience. Came in early, got dressed and worked. Learned how to manage my time properly, how to deal with customer issues, how to sort through various products and identify specific details about them.  Atmosphere among workers is friendly, but can get tense (which is normal).
Hardest part of the job is dealing with long hours standing. Some jobs become very physically demanding and you get tired. Best part of the job is personal. Depends on what you like to do but I think it is in the morning, when everything is quiet.

I was informed that the training is paid. Worked there 4 days (did 40 hours) and realized that it is not my type of work environment. I informed HR about my decision and asked how can I get my money for "paid" training. I was told that they will send me check to my home address. In the end they did not pay me a penny. I was very frustrated. I thought that it is a big and responsible company, but as usual Russians showed their face.

Some of the managers are so inconsiderate and are so rude. I worked there for almost a year and every time I got home I told myself that I am going to quit the next day but since that place is close to my house and I couldn't find another job that's hiring close by so I had to stay. They treat their workers with disrespect because they can since they are "managers". I would not recommend working there in the cafe or cashier.

Lowest salary, for workers only 5% discount(works not on everything in 90% of goods you won't have a discount), awful Store Manager. Other people are nice. Very strict rules - you cant speak, you can't look in any way except of front and right from lane,  you can't cross your arms to keep them warm... I worked on Full Time and they gave me only 24 hours a week! IT'S NOT A FULL TIME JOB, EVEN IF IT SAYS SO.

Nothing but respect for the people I worked with. They were cool and fun people to be around. Always helped when you needed it. Manager was very chill, funny, friendly, and always had your back when upper management complained. The only con was it was very boring only when you were working alone. Co workers always made the day 10x better. Highly recommend as your first job

Job was enjoyable, management team very friendly and helpful, training is on-going. There was nothing difficult about the job, there is some lifting of boxes inside and out of the freezer which would probably be the hardest for most people, but i did not mind. Overall it was a fun experience and i gained alot of grocery knowledge from this environment.

The job allowed me to build customer service and team work skills. Also, it gave me experience working in refrigerated spaces. Co-workers were very supportive other than the fact that management switched up the bosses on us every few months which left us to build a new relationship with a new boss often.

Working as a cashier can be at times a bit stressful especially during the holiday season or any Russian celebrations. But in short you can make a lot of friends there the hours and shifts are very flexible and many students work here as a summer job. In short, this is a good place to work for a short while to earn some cash on your downtime.
