As far as utility locating jobs go, this was one of the higher paying companies and respectful managements you could work for.  From start to finish, I got the feeling their strengths are in other places than public utilities - should stick to private locates or hire more knowledgeable supervising staff.

Work: If you have experience, you'll get higher pay but only get the bad locates to do. You don't get to keep the clears - they have someone in-office taking those. You'll be promised a lot of things and then be told "oh well" when no one abides by them.

Management: Overall pretty good, by the book, and generally want to keep you even if you mess up.  However, they keep you even if you mess up... it's a pro & con - you get no real sense you need to do better.

Supervisors: OK, but lacks knowledge and doesn't take critiscism well. 

Supervisor Support: There are other supervisors in different contracts that help out new contracts and sometimes they're the saving grace. I don't need to mention people; they've been told how helpful they are.

Co-Workers: Most of your co-workers are good, but try to keep your work habits and other personal info to yourself. Unfortunately, gossip is present in every work place and here is no different. More unfortunate, it reaches your superior's ears more often than not.

If you apply here, go for private locates or another field - that's where this company truly shines! I do recommend working here despite what you'll read in this review... just not for public locates.

I just finished my 3 months here and I have only great things to say about my time so far. Everyone in the office has been incredibly kind during my on-boarding and are always willing to help. We all have our individual tasks and goals, but everyone works with each other to help with productivity.
As a Content Creator I have also had the pleasure of spending time with the field technicians and they are quite amazing. Each have their own stories, backgrounds and reasons for working as hard as they do. They tend to work on their own and have to manage their itinerary, but monthly team meetings are used to come together and share.  I can definitely see some people having trouble in that role if they are not good at self-management. 
If you are self-driven and like the idea of being outdoors, the Utility Locator job is ideal for people of any background or skill-level. Training is extensive.

This is not the best place to work as technician and office staff. The pay is low I mean minimum wage for lots of work they want you to do. Management staff from president/owner to managers don’t even waste your time with them for help with anything they don’t care. As for the president/owner of the company he does not know how to talk to people or treat people with respect. This place is a revolving door people going and it’s hard for them to keep valuable people because they can’t pay them for all the things they have to put up with. Not worth your time when the job doesn’t pay well and management staff don’t treat you well. Oh and if you do work there make sure to check your pay every time you get pay. Even accounting/payroll staff makes lots of mistakes. 

Excellent company in terms of people; brilliant talent pool, friendly, supportive, and inclusive.  Overall it has a wonderful blend of a business with purpose and care for people (i.e. employees and customers alike).  You will be challenged here and never experience a dull moment.  You’ll have a lot of autonomy and responsibility, but you are compensated fairly and valued for your hard work and contributions.  

Management has come a long way in improving workplace dynamics and culture since its separation from its parent company who poorly supported them and resulted in high turnover rates and criticism from former employees.  Keep up the good work.


MultiVIEW Locates Inc. is marked by mismanagement, staff negligence, and a lack of respect for employees. The disorganized management, lack of motivation, and low pay for high-risk tasks are appalling.

The workplace culture is toxic, marked by regular disrespect and frequent pay errors. Despite a seemingly decent work schedule, the challenging work conditions, long hours, and outdoor work in harsh weather overshadow any positives.

The high turnover rate speaks volumes about the company's poor treatment and undervaluing of employees. With the management's incompetence hurting the company, the owner's unawareness is disheartening.

Consider this a cautionary tale - the stress, disrespect, and inadequate pay make multiVIEW Locates Inc. a regrettable employment choice.

The other staff there where fun to work with, you set your own pace and didn't have to customers or management. The management however was disorgizened, disliked and unhelpful. The pay as well was lower then what other companies where offering, but they saw no value in keeping on trained employees. 

A neather black mark on there record is the lack of regional management. Regional management is a two - three person job, yet they couldn't find a second person. The ad is still up, after 2 years, because no one wants to work under the head of human resources. 

multiVIEW is a great place to work, offering a supportive and engaging environment.  There's a diverse range of projects which keeps the work interesting, and the company is continually evolving and expanding its service offerings. Management is supportive and approachable but they do not micromanage so you feel a certain sense of independence in completing your work. The team members are great to work with, everyone is motivated and always willing to help out.  I would strongly recommend working at multiVIEW.

the workplace is toxic. i was fired in front of other co workers for no apparent reason. the management thinks it is above all and that they can do whatever they want. they treat you like slaves. only work here if you wish to have good work hours. they provide good hours, 60-70 per week so you'll have money, but nothing else, no respect and no personal life. so just make money and run away from here, like almost everyone here does. you wont find anyone work more than 3-4 months here, else they will fire you.

Like many medium sized companies, change can happen.  The tenure of the employee group is high and growing.  This is a good sign.  MultiVIEW has a seasonal portion to the business, so they typically hire in the Spring for field techs, although not always.  Most of the reviews I read look like they are from short term employees that didn't really enjoy the work type.  It's not for everyone.  Those that stay make up a great team of good, quality people.  People that care and work hard.  If you're looking for a field position at this company, do some research on the position before applying.
