Full job description

We’re looking for an Accountant who wants to help build a growing company, not just manage its books. Our goal is to hire our future CFO and develop them alongside the business. As we expand locations, services, and acquisitions, you’ll play a key role in both the financial leadership and the day-to-day business by understanding our operations, customers, suppliers, and people.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

Manage all aspects of full-cycle accounting.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Complete bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations.
Prepare GST/PST and other government filings.
Manage cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
Coordinate year-end with external accountants.
Maintain fixed asset schedules and accounting records.
Develop financial reports and KPIs for management.
Ensure accurate, timely, and reliable financial information.

Business Leadership

Learn every aspect of the business by spending time in our stores, warehouse, and service divisions.
Understand our customers, suppliers, inventory, and operations to provide better financial insight.
Identify opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency, and internal processes.
Build systems, reporting, and controls that support a growing multi-location business.
Partner with department leaders to improve operational performance.
Assist with evaluating new stores, acquisitions, and strategic investments.
Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to business planning.
Take on increasing leadership responsibilities as the company grows.

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year

Education:

Bachelor's Degree (required)

Licence/Certification:

CPA Designation (preferred)

Work Location: In person
