Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented experienced Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this position, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of various boats, personal watercraft, powersports equipment, small engines and machinery. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mechanics, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. This role is perfect for those looking to enhance their career in the automotive, marine or mechanical field. Invermere is a wonderful, friendly small mountain/lake town that offers an amazing lifestyle that includes world class snow skiing, snow mobiliing, golfing, water sports, mountain biking, hiking, cycling, boating and fishing all within minutes of your front door. Only 3 hours from Calgary and its International airport, 2 hours from Banff and 1.5 hours to Lake Louise, Invermere is the perfect spot to live and work if you are into outdoor adventure and travel. Our clientele have all manner of water craft and powersports equipment, from $300,000 surf boats to snowmobiles and side by sides. You will be working on, repairing and maintaining some of the best, highest-end recreational equipment ever made. Experience in marine and/or automotive repair is required. If you only have experience in automotive, we can teach you what you need to know about marine repair. Duties

Diagnose and repairing mechanical issues in boats, sea doos and power sports equipment.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, boat winterization, boat shrink wrapping, boat summerize services etc.
Move boats and personal watercraft carefully and efficiently with skid steer and fork lift as required
Deliver boats to clients homes, public boat ramp, as well as launch/retrieve boats for clients
Deliver mobile services to clients at their homes, and on the water when required
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are stored properly.
Help with the disassembly and reassembly of small engines, marine equipment and other components as needed.
Document repairs and maintenance performed on boats and powersports equipment accurately.
Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
Assist in other shop and storage facility tasks as required

Experience

Knowledge of automotive repair and systems required, marine systems and mechanical principles is preferred but not required.
Previous experience in a mechanical or automotive, powersports or marine setting is a plus.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Willingness to learn new skills and techniques related to boat and powersports repair and maintenance.
