Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the executive chef, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes. This position offers an opportunity to showcase leadership skills within a fast-paced restaurant environment, emphasizing food safety, team management, and exceptional food preparation. The Sous Chef will be instrumental in maintaining the restaurant’s standards and fostering a positive, efficient kitchen atmosphere.

Duties

Assist the head chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and food preparation processes
Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, including cooks and food service personnel
Ensure all food handling and safety protocols are strictly followed according to health regulations
Prepare ingredients and assist in cooking a variety of dishes with precision and consistency
Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain proper storage of ingredients
Monitor food quality and presentation to meet established standards
Train new staff members on kitchen procedures, safety practices, and service standards
Support restaurant management in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in the kitchen environment
Serve as a leader during service hours, ensuring smooth workflow and exceptional customer experience

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Golf Course experience is an Asset.
Supervising experience with team management skills is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling techniques
Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including kitchen management and food industry standards
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional communication skills to coordinate with staff and serve customers effectively
Demonstrated commitment to hospitality excellence and attention to detail
Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is essential for success in this role

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
