Full job description

Misteelco Inc. is seeking an Accounts Payable Administrator to join our seasoned Accounting Team; reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor.

Review invoices including inventory, freight, inter-company transactions, and operating expenses to ensure accurate paperwork matching, coding and approvals are obtained in conjunction with the corporate purchase order policy.
Coding of Company Mastercard statements and Employee Expense claims.
Downloading invoices from various vendor portals (e.g. Rogers, WEX)
Accurate and timely entry of accounts payable invoices and credit notes into Steel Manager 3.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve account discrepancies in a timely manner
Complete weekly vendor payments via EFT, e-transfer, wire and online payments.
Complete bi-weekly vendor cheque payments.
Maintain excel spreadsheet for employee taxable benefits and yearly work boot allowance.
Assist with month-end closing to ensure all expenditures are captured and recorded in the proper period.
Timely and accurate filing of unpaid and paid vendor invoices.
Answer the telephone and general reception duties.
Facilitate payment approvals from authorized signatories.
Maintain the AP Control sheet and perform initial review, escalating discrepancies as needed.
Scan posted AP batches into Steel Manager 3.
Maintain vendor credit applications, including new setups and updates as required.
Manage vendor calls, address supplier inquiries and provide payment updates; escalate issues as needed.
Support audits and internal document requests.
Identify and support process improvement and efficiency initiatives within the AP function.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Post-Secondary Education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent work experience preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay $ 40,000 - $43,000
