ServcoCanada is seeking an experienced CNC Plate & Pipe Processing Operator to operate a Lincoln Electric Vernon pipe cutting machine and a Machitech Diamond Cut CNC in our Winnipeg, Manitoba fabrication facility.

As a valued member of the team, your core responsibilities will include:
· Machine Setup and Operation
o Load raw materials into CNC machines.
o Install and secure tooling, fixtures, and workpieces.
o Start, stop, and monitor machine operations.
o Select and load the correct CNC program for the job.
o Verify machine settings, speeds, and feeds.
o Setting the correct gas pressures, tip sizes, and travel speeds for oxy-fuel, or the correct arc voltage and compressed air settings for plasma.
· Production Monitoring
o Observe machine performance during operation.
o Ensure parts are produced according to specifications.
o Detect machine malfunctions or tooling issues.
o Make minor machine adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
· Quality Control and Inspection
o Measure finished parts using precision instruments.
o Compare dimensions against engineering drawings and tolerances.
o Document inspection results and production records.
· Reading Technical Documents
o Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
o Understanding of metal grades, thickness, and tolerances
o Engineering drawings
o Work orders
o Manufacturing specifications
o Quality standards
· Tool Maintenance
o Replace worn or damaged cutting tools, torch maintenance and tip cleaning.
o Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
o Report equipment defects or maintenance requirements.
· Safety Compliance
o Follow workplace safety procedures.
o Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
o Maintain a clean and organized work area.
o Follow lockout/tagout procedures where required.
· Additional Responsibilities May Include:
o Edit CNC programs at the machine.
o Set machine offsets and tool compensation values.
o Troubleshoot machining issues.
o Assist with machine setup and changeovers.
o Optimize cycle times and machining processes.
o Assist with offloading and loading materials using a forklift or overhead crane.
The following qualifications are required of the successful candidate:
- Legally entitled to work in Canada and able to demonstrate long-term work authorization
- Based in Winnipeg or surrounding areas with reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Mechanical aptitude

- Mathematics and geometry
