Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, preparing and serving beverages, and ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of food safety, cash handling, and efficient service to enhance guest experiences in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems are highly valued. The Bartender will play a key role in maintaining the bar’s cleanliness, adhering to food safety standards, and delivering exceptional hospitality.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently.
Use POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling.
Engage with customers in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service and hospitality.
Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces in accordance with food safety standards.
Manage cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change.
Monitor guest behavior to ensure responsible alcohol service and adherence to legal requirements.
Restock bar supplies as needed, including garnishes, beverages, and utensils.
Comply with all food handling regulations and safety protocols.
Assist in setting up the bar for service and closing procedures at the end of shifts.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy hours.

Skills

Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred.
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally.
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and calculating bills accurately.
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
Ability to serve alcohol responsibly following legal regulations.
Effective communication skills to interact clearly with customers and team members.
