Full job description

Our client, a respected and established organization in Calgary, is seeking a Senior Compensation Analyst for an exciting 18-month contract opportunity. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on workforce planning, compensation strategy, and organizational decision-making. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with Finance, HR, and business leaders to deliver insights that support strategic workforce initiatives and effective labor cost management.

Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Finance and Human Resources teams on workforce planning, budgeting, and compensation forecasting activities
Support labor cost management initiatives by providing analysis and recommendations aligned with organizational objectives
Lead monthly compensation and workforce reporting, including variance analysis and trend identification
Develop meaningful insights and present findings to support informed business decisions
Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and reporting obligations
Monitor and support adherence to collective bargaining agreements and related compensation practices
Identify opportunities for process improvements and enhanced reporting capabilities

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
5+ years of experience in compensation analysis, workforce planning, finance analysis, or a related analytical role
Demonstrated experience supporting compensation programs and/or collective bargaining environments
Strong proficiency with Adaptive Planning and workforce planning tools
Experience partnering with Finance (FP& A), HR, and operational leaders on budgeting and forecasting activities
Advanced analytical, reporting, and variance analysis capabilities
Ability to identify trends, interpret complex data, and deliver actionable recommendations
Knowledge of compensation-related legislation, reporting requirements, and compliance obligations
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Proven ability to work independently and drive initiatives forward with minimal supervision
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and solutions-focused approach
Advanced proficiency with Excel and reporting systems
