Position:

We are currently looking to hire a Senior Estimator to join our growing team. Projects vary from residential multifamily to commercial/ industrial work. Scope of work includes architectural facades and metal roofing systems. Hours are Monday-Friday 7h30 am-4:30pm.

Our Ideal candidate will be a reliable and responsible person who can work efficiently in a team atmosphere, using their knowledge and skills to achieve the task at hand. A safe professional mentality and solid work ethic are important to our company culture. Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of estimating experience in building envelope scope of work.

Key responsibilities:

Send bids accurately and on time.
Review project blueprints and specifications
Review contract documents for management review.
Perform occasional site reviews to get familiar with each project.
Conduct comprehensive quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
Lead bid preparation and coordination.
Review contracts.
Utilize quantity take-off software and tools. Proficiency with Planswift is an asse.
Analyze historical data, market trends, and benchmarks.
Research alternative materials and construction methods.
Mentor and guide junior estimators.
Lead value engineering efforts.
Present cost estimates and reports to management and clients.
Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.
Stay updated with industry advancements and regulations.
Improve estimating processes and guidelines.
Participate in post-project reviews.
Support business development activities.
Assist in subcontractor selection.
Contribute to standardized estimating tools.
Provide expertise for complex projects.
Coordinate with estimating team members.
Enhance professional skills and knowledge.

Assets for applicants:

Building Envelope experience (5+ years)
Strong skills in Excel, Word and on Screen Take-Off Software
Ability to read plans and specifications
Valid Driver’s License required
