About Us

We are a rapidly growing engineering and biotechnology company that designs and manufactures advanced scientific instruments, automation systems, and custom manufacturing equipment.

Unlike a traditional machine shop, our work is fast-paced and constantly evolving. You'll machine prototype parts, production fixtures, injection mold components, and precision mechanical assemblies that directly support new product development.

If you enjoy solving problems, making one-off parts, and working closely with engineers, you'll fit right in.

The Role

We're looking for a skilled CNC Operator who enjoys producing high-quality precision components and continuously improving machining processes.

You'll operate and set up CNC mills, manufacture custom components, inspect finished parts, and work directly with our engineering team to bring new designs to life.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC milling machines
Machine precision aluminum, stainless steel, plastics, and engineering materials
Read engineering drawings and CAD models
Select tooling, fixtures, and workholding
Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment
Deburr and finish machined components to a high cosmetic standard
Manufacture prototype parts, fixtures, and production tooling
Assist with machining injection mold components
Maintain tooling inventory and machine cleanliness
Identify opportunities to reduce machining time and improve quality
Work closely with engineers during prototype development

Qualifications

Experience operating CNC milling machines
Ability to read technical drawings
Familiarity with GD&T is an asset
Comfortable using calipers, micrometers, indicators, and other inspection tools
Strong attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills
Reliable and self-motivated
Comfortable working in a rapidly changing engineering environment

Nice to Have

Experience with any of the following is considered a strong asset:

CAM software (Fusion 360, Mastercam, SolidCAM, etc.)
CNC programming
Toolpath optimization
Fixture and workholding design
Injection mold machining
Prototype machining
Surface finishing and polishing
Manual mills or lathes
3D printing
Vacuum fixtures
High-speed machining
Multi-axis machining

What Success Looks Like

Parts are accurate and produced right the first time
Machine setups are efficient and repeatable
Surface finish and dimensional quality are consistently excellent
Engineers can move quickly from design to finished prototype
New ideas are suggested to improve machining efficiency and reduce costs
The shop remains organized, safe, and ready for the next project
