Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Freight Broker/Logistics Coordinator for a direct hire opportunity with a well-established 3PL brokerage in Etobicoke, ON. This fully on-site role is ideal for a logistics professional with strong LTL and FTL experience, proven carrier relationships, and a background in non-asset-based freight brokerage.

This opportunity offers a stable Monday to Friday schedule, competitive compensation, potential profitability-based bonus, and benefits including dental, extended health care, vision care, and RRSP matching. You will join a growing logistics environment where teamwork, customer service, and operational accuracy are valued. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with customers and carriers across Canada and the U.S., while contributing directly to service quality, cost efficiency, and shipment success.

As a Freight Broker/Logistics Coordinator, you will manage freight movement from quote to delivery, negotiate rates, coordinate dispatching, and support cross-border transportation requirements. This is a strong fit for someone who thrives in a fast-paced brokerage environment, works independently, and enjoys building lasting relationships with customers and carriers.

Key Responsibilities

Broker LTL and FTL freight for Canadian and U.S. customers while ensuring timely and cost-effective shipment movement.
Build and maintain carrier relationships, negotiate rates, secure capacity, and coordinate dispatching requirements.
Manage local and long-haul dispatching, including rail, flatbed, reefer, inbound, and outbound freight.
Analyze load details to optimize routing, pricing, schedules, and carrier selection.
Coordinate cross-border shipments, maintain awareness of customs regulations, and support transportation compliance.
Communicate regularly with customers, carriers, and internal teams to provide updates, resolve issues, and ensure service expectations are met.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $60,000 to $70,000 per year, dependent on experience.
Potential bonus based on profitability.

Fully on-site role in Etobicoke, ON.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
