Full job description

Our client located in North York is looking for an experienced Technical Lead Hand to support daily production operations, provide technical leadership, and ensure a safe, efficient, and quality-focused work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate staffing to meet production requirements.
Perform machine setups and die testing as required.
Complete and approve production paperwork, schedules, and reports.
Train and mentor Extruder Operators.
Enforce company policies related to Health & Safety, Quality, Production, and Employee Relations.
Report equipment issues, product defects, and workplace hazards.
Ensure compliance with OHSA, WHMIS, Lockout procedures, and company safety standards.
Support continuous improvement and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications:

Demonstrated competency as a Level A operator (e.g., Extruder Operator or Shipper/Receiver).
Previous manufacturing lead hand or supervisory experience is an asset.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions
Ability to perform basic math and communicate effectively in English.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and work overtime when required.

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to train, mentor, and support production staff.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining attention to safety and quality.
