The Systems Analyst protects business outcomes by supporting the availability, security, and accuracy of critical enterprise platforms so teams can serve members and complete financial and operational processes reliably. The role provides Tier II application support for assigned platforms, including the digital/mobile banking system and other COTS and SaaS solutions such as D365 F&O. With a strong focus on incident management and service restoration, the Systems Analyst triages and resolves production issues, coordinates escalations to Tier III and vendor partners through established processes and participates in an on-call rotation to minimize business disruption.
The role contributes to continual improvement through ITSM disciplines such as problem management, trend analysis, and post-incident learnings, helping reduce repeat incidents and improve time to restore service. The Systems Analyst maintains support knowledge assets (knowledge base articles, procedures, SOPs, and runbooks) and supports operational readiness through monitoring/observability, preventive maintenance, and lifecycle activities aligned to DR/backup and non-functional requirements. When required for incident remediation, the Systems Analyst develops and executes controlled SQL scripts for production data corrections under approved change controls, validation steps, peer review, and audit requirements. Working closely with Architecture, Technology Delivery, technical operations, and business stakeholders, the Systems Analyst supports stable day-to-day operations and service performance.
What You'll be Doing:
- Support Tier II incident management for assigned applications by triaging, troubleshooting, and resolving application incidents; coordinate escalation to Tier III/vendor teams and document root-cause findings and corrective actions.
- Participate in an on-call rotation as scheduled, responding to alerts and escalations within defined targets and providing timely status updates to stakeholders.
- Support and sustain assigned business applications and related components (e.g., digital banking, API-based integrations, D365 F&O, and overnight batch processing) to maintain stable operations across member-facing and back-office services.
- Support Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications and vendor platforms by tracking incidents/defects, coordinating patches and upgrades, and working with vendors through established case management processes.
- Support and configure SaaS solutions by completing approved configuration changes, access/role updates, and release impact checks following established governance and change controls.
- Create, test, and execute SQL scripts for controlled production data corrections when required for incident remediation, following peer review/approval, validation steps, and audit requirements.
- Contribute to continual service improvement by applying ITSM practices (incident/problem management and trend analysis) and keeping knowledge assets current (knowledge base articles, SOPs, and runbooks).
- Use monitoring and observability tools to identify service health issues, support proactive remediation, and escalate risks related to availability or performance.
- Perform preventive maintenance activities (patching, service packs, upgrades) and support application lifecycle tasks aligned to change and release practices.
What you Bring:
- 4-7+ years of demonstrated experience in Systems Analyst and application support roles.
- 3+ years of experience supporting .NET-based solutions and integrations (C#, SOAP/REST APIs) in a production environment.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O support/configuration experience
- Working proficiency with SQL for investigation and controlled data updates under change control and peer review.
- Working knowledge of incident, problem, and change management using ITSM tooling.
- Experience supporting enterprise SaaS and COTS platforms, including vendor escalation and case management.
- Working knowledge of integration patterns and distributed/service-oriented architectures.
- Experience with web technologies (JavaScript/jQuery, IIS/Apache/Tomcat, HTML, CSS) sufficient to support troubleshooting and configuration.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and the ability to execute recurring operational delivery tasks (daily/weekly/monthly/annual) using established procedures.
- Experience using code repositories such as GitHub and Git in Azure DevOps.
- Ability to work effectively within an Agile/Scrum delivery environment.
- Experience with tools such as Ivanti ITSM, Dynatrace, Power BI, Power Automate, and Copilot Studio is considered an asset.
- Financial services experience (preferably banking/credit union) is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to support effective
- collaboration and accurate documentation.
Education and Training:
- Post-secondary education in computer technology, computer science, or an IT-related discipline from an accredited institution (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
