Full job description

Maclin Ford is looking for a motivated full-time Lube Tech or Apprentice to join our growing team.

Description

Apprentices are responsible for the maintenance of vehicles. Care & attention to detail are extremely important to ensure safety, and a 5-star customer experience. The ability to follow Ford service/maintenance guidelines, and clearly communicate all vehicle report card findings and recommended services for current intervals are integral to this role.

Responsibilities:

Vehicle maintenance including lubrications, oil & filter changes, tire changeover & balance, tire rotations & accessory installations.
Accurate completion of vehicle report card Mulitpoint inspections.
Perform road tests to confirm repair or to verify concerns as required.
Accurately record the cause & correction in CDK on customer repair orders.
Completion of technician portion on MPI & related inspection forms.
Provide Service Advisors with accurate parts & labor estimates utilizing MPI.
Maintain and follow manufacturer warranty policies & procedures.

Requirements:

Preference will be given to candidates who are interested in pursuing an Automotive Journeyman/woman Apprenticeship.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to attend training courses to upgrade and develop.
Reliable and punctual.
Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.
Ability to carefully and safely drive both standard and automatic vehicles.
Ability to lift and carry heavy items and equipment such as tires.

Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
