Food Trailer Driver / Cashier or Cook (Full-Time)Job Overview

Holy Taco is looking for a reliable, energetic, and customer-focused Food Trailer Driver / Cashier or Cook to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, interacting with customers, and being part of exciting events throughout Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.

Depending on your experience, you will either:

Drive the food trailer and prepare food, or
Drive the food trailer and work as the cashier, providing outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

Safely drive the food trailer to and from event locations while following all traffic laws and safety regulations. ( Class 5 driver license required)
Set up and prepare the trailer before service.
Provide friendly and efficient customer service by taking orders and processing cash, debit, and credit card payments.
Operate the restaurant POS system accurately.
Prepare and cook menu items according to Holy Taco recipes and food safety standards (Cook position).
Handle food safely while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
Ensure all food is prepared and presented to our quality standards.
Keep the trailer, cooking equipment, and workstations clean and organized throughout the shift.
Restock ingredients and supplies and communicate inventory needs to management.
Assist with opening, closing, event setup, and cleanup.

Qualifications

Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record.
Minimum 1 year of driving experience.
Previous experience in food service, customer service, cashiering, or restaurant operations is an asset but not required, we are happy to train the right person.
Experience handling cash and operating a POS system is preferred.
Knowledge of food preparation, food handling, and sanitation practices is an asset.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
