Heavy Equipment Parts Coordinator

Job Overview

Knights of Repair is seeking a detail-oriented Heavy Equipment Parts Coordinator to support our mobile heavy-equipment repair operations.

The Parts Coordinator will be responsible for identifying, sourcing, ordering, tracking and coordinating the delivery of parts required by our field technicians. The objective of the role is to ensure technicians receive the correct parts as quickly and cost-effectively as possible, while maintaining accurate purchasing and job records.

This role is suited to someone with strong heavy-equipment parts knowledge, excellent organizational ability and experience working with suppliers, technicians and service teams.

Key Responsibilities

Identify required parts using equipment make, model, serial number, parts diagrams and technician information
Source heavy-equipment parts from dealers, aftermarket suppliers and specialty vendors
Confirm part compatibility, availability, pricing, lead times, freight costs and return conditions
Prepare and process purchase orders and maintain accurate purchasing records
Coordinate parts pickup, delivery and shipment to technicians and job locations
Track outstanding orders and proactively communicate delays or availability issues
Support estimate preparation by providing accurate parts costs and expected delivery timelines
Maintain organized records of purchased parts, returns, credits, warranties and core charges
Coordinate returns, defective-part claims and unused-parts reconciliation
Maintain appropriate inventory levels for commonly used parts and consumables
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with vendors and supplier representatives
Help reduce technician downtime by anticipating parts requirements and resolving sourcing issues quickly
Follow company purchasing controls, approval procedures and documentation standards

Qualifications

Previous experience in heavy-equipment, agricultural-equipment, truck, automotive or industrial parts
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand parts diagrams and technical information
Experience identifying parts by make, model and serial number
Strong purchasing, sourcing and vendor-coordination skills
High level of accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping
Ability to manage multiple urgent requests and changing priorities
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable using service-management, inventory, purchasing and cloud-based software
Valid Ontario driver’s licence
Dealership, fleet-maintenance or heavy-equipment service experience is preferred
Forklift certification is an asset but is not required

Schedule

Full-time
Typically 40 hours per week
Occasional overtime may be required based on operational needs

Compensation

$24.00 to $30.00 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated capability

About the Role

This position directly supports field-service productivity and customer uptime. The successful candidate will play a central role in ensuring technicians are properly supplied, jobs move forward without unnecessary delay and purchasing information remains accurate and controlled.

Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
