Associate Product Manager

Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia (In-Person)

The Role

As an Associate Product Manager at Virtual Hallway, you’ll report to our Senior Product Manager and help build the features that make specialist knowledge more accessible for clinicians across Canada. You’ll help ship high-quality product from ideation to launch: writing the briefs, mocking up the screens, auditing what’s live, and closing the loop after launch. You’ll get real ownership of things that matter — from shaping what we ship to measuring how it’s working — while learning the craft alongside a senior PM who’s building the discipline at VH.

Virtual Hallway is investing heavily in AI-powered clinical tools, and this role will contribute to how we design, ship, and measure them.

This role suits someone early in their product career who brings a thoughtful eye for design and a genuine curiosity about what makes a product work for the people using it.

Key Responsibilities

Define and scope the work — write briefs, design wireframes, mockups, and prototypes, and shape how features look and feel before they go to engineering.
Ship and iterate — QA features post-launch, audit key user journeys, and identify what to improve next.
Measure what matters — track activation, engagement, and retention; flag anomalies and help scope work that moves the needle.
Stay close to the customer and the team — talk to clinicians, gather feedback from BD, Marketing, and Ops, and keep work moving across teams through bottlenecks.
Work fluently with AI — use AI tools to research, prototype, and work faster. Think critically about how AI shows up in the products we build.

Required Experience & Skills

0–2 years of product experience (internships, APM programs, or a first PM role all count).
Strong analytical skills. Comfortable working in a metrics tool, forming a hypothesis from data, and designing a test to validate it.
Comfortable in Figma with an eye for design, including interest in design system work.
Strong writing skills, with the ability to turn ambiguous input into clear briefs.
Understanding of how AI is shaping product development, including hands-on experience with AI-assisted workflows and an opinion on where AI belongs in the products people use.
High attention to detail with a commitment to quality, organization, and accuracy.
Interest in healthcare, or a genuine willingness to get up to speed on it fast.
Willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow in a collaborative environment.
University degree, diploma, or equivalent practical experience.
