Licensed Forklift Operators

Location: Paris, ON

Pay Rate: Starts at $22.50/hr. Final wage DOE.

Job Type: Full-Time | Temporary to Permanent Opportunity

Shift

Day Shift

Monday to Friday

6:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Hours may vary based on operational requirements, including occasional early starts or extended shifts.

About the Role

We are currently seeking experienced Material Handlers/Forklift Operators to join a busy industrial team. This is a primarily outdoor position with covered forklifts, supporting shipping and receiving operations in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will have strong counterbalance forklift experience, be comfortable loading and unloading trailers, and have previous experience safely securing outbound loads.

Responsibilities

Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently.

Load and unload flatbed trailers and enclosed vans.

Secure outbound loads using straps and follow safe load securement procedures.

Perform material handling duties in an outdoor work environment.

Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for damage and accuracy.

Complete daily forklift inspections and report any equipment concerns.

Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.

Assist with general yard and warehouse duties as required.

Work closely with the shipping and receiving team to meet daily production schedules.

Qualifications

Valid external forklift certification required.

Previous counterbalance forklift experience is essential.

Experience operating heavy equipment is considered a strong asset.

Previous experience loading flatbeds and enclosed trailers.

Demonstrated experience climbing onto loads to safely secure freight with straps.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required.

Strong awareness of workplace safety and safe material handling practices.

Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
