Are you an experienced Drywaller/Painter who takes pride in quality workmanship? Join On Side Restoration and put your skills to work repairing drywall, matching textures, painting, and restoring homes and businesses affected by water, fire, and other property damage.

Compensation

Salary Range: $22-$28/hour
Overtime opportunities (where applicable)
On-call premium and overtime paid for rotating coverage

What You’ll Do

Measure, cut, install, and repair damaged drywall
Estimate the quantity of materials required by measuring surfaces, reviewing scopes, sketches and work orders
Ceiling texture
Tape, mud, sand, and texture surfaces
Prepare and protect work sites
Prepare surfaces and apply primers, paints, stains, or finishes
Apply finishes that are sponged, ragged and layered
Feathering/blending wall paint
Match colors and apply coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray guns

Required

Drywall repair and finishing experience (taping, mudding, sanding, finishing)
Painting experience
Valid driver's licence

Preferred

Restoration experience
Texture matching
Spray experience

Do you have your own trade tools for drywall and painting? Please note that On Side provides materials and supplies.
This role sometimes requires working later than scheduled, as jobs may need an extra hour or two to finish properly. Please explain your ability to stay late when needed, knowing all overtime is paid.
Nice to have: carpentry experience and the ability to assist with finish work on site. Please speak to your in-home carpentry skill set / experience.

This role involves working in homes affected by fire or flood damage and completing drywall repairs from start to finish, including installation, taping, mudding, texturing, and final paint. The ideal candidate can fully restore damaged areas of a home. Please explain why you would be a strong fit for this position.

Restoration work requires documentation and tracking throughout your workday. Do you have basic computer and/or tablet/iPad experience?
Are you able to work a Rotating On-Call Schedule (Responding to emergency calls after business hours)? This is additional to scheduled daytime hours. Premium and overtime is paid.

Experience:

Brush and Roller Painting: 3 years (preferred)
Drywalling and Drywall Repair: 3 years (preferred)
Texture Spraying: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

Canadian Driver's License (required)
