About Jai Yoga Studio:

Jai Yoga Studio is a family-owned yoga studio located at 140-1140 Austin Avenue in Coquitlam, British Columbia. We offer a variety of authentic yoga classes—including Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Power and Restorative—focused on bringing intentionality, community, and mindfulness to our students. We emphasize grounding practices, studio connection, and offer yoga teacher training programs and workshops to deepen our community’s practice.

Who We Are Looking For:

We are looking for a passionate Movement & Yoga Instructor who lives and breathes biomechanics, functional mobility, and active strength!

If you love blending traditional yoga flow with targeted hip and shoulder mobility, active range-of-motion drills, joint health, and biomechanics principles, you will love teaching here. We are especially looking for instructors who bring a personal training, strength coaching, or mobility background into the yoga space.

Expectations & Qualifications:

Required Certifications:

200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) from a recognized school is a MUST.
Ability to lead 60-minute active classes (Hatha, Vinyasa, Power, or specialized Mobility flows).

Preferred Background & Credentials (Not a requirement but a HUGE PLUS!):

Certified Personal Trainer (CPT via NASM, ACE, CSCS, CSEP, or similar).
Functional Mobility certifications (e.g., FRC / Functional Range Conditioning, Kinstretch, Tune Up Fitness, Yoga Medicine).
Strong foundation in anatomy, joint mechanics, and active strengthening (not just passive stretching).

General Requirements:

Ability to teach Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga is a bonus.
Hold (or be willing to obtain) $2M commercial liability insurance prior to starting.
Excellent ability to lead a 60-minute class confidently, clearly, and safely.

Current available teaching slots (sub basis) - URGENT:

Tuesdays 6PM (Power Flow)
Wednesday 9:30AM (Happy Hips - Functional Mobility Yoga Fusion)
Thursday 9:30AM (Shoulder Resent - Functional Mobility Yoga Fusion)
Thursdays 6PM (Hatha)
Thursdays 7:30PM (Candlelight Yin)

Community Presence:

Arrive 20 minutes before class and stay briefly afterward to connect with students and hold space.
Input attendance data for each class and communicate feedback with studio management.
High energy, great music playlists, and a passion for creating an unforgettable student experience!

What We Offer:

Sub / Demo Rate: $30 per class/hour for the first 3 classes.
Rate increases to $35 per class/hour based on positive student feedback and consistency.
