Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Training Coordinator to join our team and drive the development of impactful learning experiences across our organization. In this role, you will design, implement, and manage comprehensive training programs that enhance employee skills, foster growth, and support organizational change initiatives. Your energetic approach will inspire teams, streamline training processes, and ensure that learning objectives are met with enthusiasm and precision. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about human resources, instructional design, and program management to make a meaningful impact on our workforce.

Responsibilities

Develop engaging training content utilizing instructional design principles and tools such as Adobe Captivate and SharePoint to create compelling e-learning modules and classroom materials.
Coordinate and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and presentations to diverse audiences, employing excellent public speaking and communication skills.
Manage Learning Management System (LMS) platforms to schedule courses, track learner progress, and generate reports for data collection and analysis.
Collaborate with HR teams to align training initiatives with human resources management strategies, including onboarding, employee relations, and change management efforts.
Utilize HRIS systems like Workday and Salesforce to extract data on training participation, employee development metrics, and program effectiveness.
Support organizational change management by designing targeted training programs that ease transitions during system implementations or process updates.
Conduct research on industry best practices in training & development to continuously improve program quality and relevance.
Assist in recruiting trainers or subject matter experts as needed while maintaining strong communication channels across departments.

Qualifications

Proven experience in content development, instructional design, or training coordination within a corporate environment.
Familiarity with LMS platforms such as SharePoint or other learning management systems; experience with Adobe Captivate is a plus.
Strong understanding of human resources processes including HRIS systems like Workday or HR management practices.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver engaging presentations and facilitate classroom or virtual sessions confidently.
Knowledge of change management principles and experience supporting organizational transitions through effective training programs.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Background in research or data collection related to employee training outcomes; experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools is desirable.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or similar platforms.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Completion of Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check.
Alberta Class 5 License, satisfactory driver’s abstract, a vehicle an asset.

Working Conditions:

· Primarily office-based with occasional on-site training sessions.
