Full job description

TF Warren Group is a premier lining, coating and rail maintenance facility located in Brantford, Ontario. We are currently looking to add an AFTERNOON shift Overhead Crane Operator/Material Handler to join our Plateline team!

Our ideal candidates have previous experience as a Crane Operator in the steel industry, and willing to work overtime.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Safely operate overhead crane to move, load, and unload sheets of steel, parts, and other materials
Perform tasks mainly outside and various weather conditions and multi-temperature environments
Operate mechanized material handling equipment and machinery
Verify the quality and quantity to related paperwork, note any deviations or shipping damage
General labour and material handling
Follow and understand the applicable Health and Safety procedures for performing the required work
Previous crane operator experience in the steel industry is preferred

Physical Requirements:

Forklift and Crane experience is required
Rigging experience an asset
Comfortable and able to climb a ladder and work at heights up to 10 meters
Able to work indoor and outdoor in varying weather conditions
Able to lift/push up to 50 lbs repeatedly
Ability to read special order notes, supervisor instructions and standard operating procedures
Basic knowledge of steel products is an asset
