Position: Temporary Full Time Business Analyst (Nonunion)
Posting Period: July 28, 2026 – August 3, 2026
Hours of Work: Monday -Friday Days. Overtime outside of regular working hours and on weekends as required.

Position Summary:
The Business Analyst plays a key role in optimizing the organization's corporate applications by bridging business needs with technical solutions. Working closely with Digital Services, business leaders, subject matter experts, project teams, and external software vendors, the Business Analyst identifies opportunities to improve workflows, enhance user experience and adoption, and maximize the value of corporate applications.
The successful candidate will gather and analyze business and functional requirements, support application optimization initiatives, facilitate process improvements, contribute to the successful delivery of corporate business and digital projects, and provide business application support, and ensure business requirements are accurately translated into functional system solutions. This role requires strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills, along with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with business departments and Digital Services to identify, prioritize, and implement improvements to corporate applications.
- Elicit, analyze, document, validate, and maintain business requirements documents (BRD), functional requirements specifications (FRS) and system requirements specifications (SRS), process maps, use cases, and data flow diagrams
- Conduct current-state and future-state workflow analysis, identify gaps, and recommend process improvements.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and implementation plans.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve business processes, application functionality, usability, and user experience.
- Monitor application adoption and engagement using surveys, analytics, and reporting tools, and recommend opportunities for improvement.
- Support organizational change management initiatives by developing communication plans, training materials, user guides and stakeholder engagement strategies to facilitate successful adoption of enhanced corporate applications and processes.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations with business stakeholders, project teams, and leadership.
- Support corporate applications, corporate business and digital projects by contributing to planning, requirements gathering, and project deliverables.
- Develop and maintain business processes, procedures, workflow documentation, and specification documents.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, project teams, and vendor partners to ensure alignment on priorities, scope, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with software vendors to review product roadmaps, coordinate software releases, troubleshoot application issues, evaluate enhancements and ensure successful implementation of system upgrades and patches.
- Plan, coordinate , and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT ), including functional and system integration testing; develop test scenarios ; execute testing; and track defects in collaboration with vendors and internal technical teams.
- Utilize SQL to perform data validation, analyze application data, troubleshoot issues, create, ad hoc queries, and support reporting and business decision-making.
- Stay current on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and healthcare-related business application trends.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, standards, and applicable regulations.
- Successfully manage multiple priorities while navigating changing business needs and project timelines.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a Business Analyst or similar role, preferably within a healthcare environment.
- Experience with business process analysis, workflow analysis, and requirements gathering.
- Experience gathering, documenting, and managing functional requirements through the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Experience supporting organizational change initiatives and business process improvement projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project, and SharePoint.
- Working knowledge of SQL for querying relational databases and supporting reporting requirements.
- Experience collaborating with software vendors, coordinating issue resolution, and supporting software implementations and upgrades.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present findings and recommendations to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience working in a healthcare setting.
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Health Administration, or a related field.
- Experience working with project management methodologies and application optimization initiatives.
- Experience supporting business applications and troubleshooting issues.
- Strong business case and business plan writing experience.
- Knowledge of healthcare business processes and healthcare-related legislation.
- Experience working with ERP, HRIS, Finance, Payroll , Supply Chain or other corporate business applications
- Experience with requirements management tools, business process modeling and functional specification documentation.
