The Company

Icewater Seafoods Inc. is a family-owned, world-class seafood processing company in Arnold’s Cove, NL, specializing in premium North Atlantic cod and other fish products for domestic and international markets. The Role

Reporting to senior leadership, the QA Manager will lead the Food Safety and Quality function within Icewater Seafood’s federally licensed seafood processing facility certified to BRCGS Food Safety standards. This role is responsible for overseeing the Food Safety and Quality Management System (FSQMS), ensuring compliance with BRCGS Food Safety standards, SFCR/CFIA requirements, customer specifications, and internal quality programs. The QA Manager will play a key leadership role in maintaining audit readiness, strengthening food safety culture, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.

Working closely with Operations, Sanitation, Maintenance, and Production teams, the QA Manager will bring a practical and collaborative approach to food safety and quality leadership. This role requires a strong presence on the production floor, the ability to lead within a unionized environment, and the confidence to make risk-based decisions that protect product integrity, regulatory compliance, and customer trust.

Who You Are

The ideal candidate is an experienced food safety and quality leader who brings credibility, sound judgment, and a practical approach to managing quality systems in a fast-paced processing environment. You are comfortable balancing regulatory and certification requirements with the operational realities of production and are recognized for your ability to build strong relationships across departments while maintaining high standards and accountability.

As a leader, you are approachable, decisive, and highly organized You communicate effectively with frontline employees, leadership, customers, and regulators alike, and you lead by example through visible involvement in food safety, GMP, and quality activities. You are energized by continuous improvement, developing teams, and fostering a positive food safety culture grounded in consistency, professionalism, and operational excellence.

With foundational knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP, SRCR /CFIA, GMPs and sanitation, you bring industry or food manufacturing QA leadership experience. Experience leading in a unionized environment is considered an asset.
