Full job description

Everest CPA is a professional CPA firm located in Woodbridge. We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to complete full-cycle monthly bookkeeping services utilizing QuickBooks Online or Desktop for clients including reconciliations, monthly financial statements, and other required reports. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills, and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly. The ideal candidate for this position is skilled at multi-tasking, works well with autonomy and is self-directed, reliable, and has a strong knowledge with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office and other payroll and accounting applications for small businesses.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

· Excellent interpersonal skills, team spirit, ability to strengthen relationships both within the team and clients

· Professional phone etiquette and customer service skills

· Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

· Good communication and writing skills

Job Responsibilities

· Provide full-cycle bookkeeping

· Prepare bank and credit card reconciliations.

· Processing a payroll via QuickBooks or ADP

· Preparing T4 statements, Record of Employment (ROE) and other statements as required

· Prepare HST, WSIB and EHT returns

· Assist with month-end and quarter-end processes

· Communicate with clients

Education/Experience Requirements:

Completion of a college or university program in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related program
Over 1 year of experience in similar position (i.e. Bookkeeper responsible for payroll)
Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
Experience with processing payroll
You are proficient with QuickBooks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
