Job Title: Registered Nurse - Specialty Pharma Nurse
Location: Sidney, BC, and Victoria, BC
Job Status: Temp Position (Ending Dec. 2026)
Hourly Rate: $38.00 to $47.00

Schedule: Currently on Thursdays but flexibility around clinic day moving forward, can be held on Mon, Thurs, or Fridays

Carecor is seeking compassionate Specialty Pharma Registered Nurse specialized with infusion, injectable, and oral pharmacological treatments in home and clinic settings, working under the guidance of the Specialty Pharma Supervisor and/or Specialty Pharma Nurse Manager. This role focuses on delivering safe, high-quality, one‑on‑one care while closely monitoring patients for infusion‑related reactions and responding appropriately as needed. Nurses are responsible for accurate documentation and timely completion of required reporting, ensuring continuity and quality of care.

The Specialty Pharma Nurse maintains ongoing communication with clinical leadership to ensure patient safety, positive outcomes, and exceptional patient experiences. Comprehensive specialty pharmacological training is provided to support nurses in delivering confident, evidence‑based care.

This position offers the opportunity to build expertise in specialty infusion services, with potential involvement in professional development initiatives such as conferences and clinical trials. The role is casual and designed with flexibility in mind. Nurses provide their availability and manage their patient portfolios accordingly, with Carecor partnering closely to create schedules that fit individual lifestyles. Key Responsibilities

Develop and review nursing care plans that are individualized to each patient.
Conducts patient health assessments and medication administration teaching.
Obtain IV access through peripheral IV initiation or central line access (PICC, IVAD, etc.);
Prepares and administers a variety of specialized intravenous or injectable pharmacological treatments.
Provide patient care by utilizing the skills of observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, counseling, health teaching, and reporting any adverse events to immediate supervisor or required stakeholders.
Perform routine nursing duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and provincial body standards.
Provide patient centered care according to the established care plan or medical directive.
Perform specialized nursing procedures for which recognized training and current competencies have been demonstrated and updated per standards.
Maintain role related, medication and pharmacovigilance training as required.
Observe and document patient conditions;
Report and document Adverse Events as per Pharmacovigilance requirements.
Complete all other duties as requested.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent from an accredited program
Current registration in good standing with the provincial nursing regulatory body
Current BLS certification (ACLS required for clinic roles)
Experience in acute care and/or specialty pharmaceutical administration
Critical care (ER/ICU), infusion clinic, oncology, or home care experience is an asset
Strong peripheral IV skills; central line experience (IVAD, PICC) an asset
Strong patient assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Valid driver’s license
