Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Janitor/Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. This role is essential in ensuring a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment for employees and visitors alike. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning and facilities maintenance, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of hygiene. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the upkeep of our commercial spaces, supporting overall facility operations.

Responsibilities

Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal in various areas such as offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces
Conduct deep cleaning procedures periodically as scheduled or needed
Maintain cleanliness of floors, windows, furniture, and fixtures using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet paper in restrooms and kitchens
Ensure all cleaning activities comply with safety standards and health regulations
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management for prompt resolution
Follow established cleaning protocols to ensure consistency and quality of work

Skills

Proven experience in general cleaning or commercial cleaning preferred
Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices and basic maintenance skills is a plus
Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and floor scrubbers effectively
Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform thorough cleaning tasks efficiently
Good organizational skills to manage daily cleaning schedules and supplies
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods

This role is vital in maintaining a safe and hygienic environment. We value reliability, professionalism, and a proactive approach to facilities upkeep.

Pay: $15.00-$16.00 per hour
