Techmation Electric & Controls Ltd is currently hiring a Junior Recruiter for our Acheson, AB branch for a 6 month contract.
Techmation works on a variety of Industrial Construction and Maintenance projects throughout Western Canada.
As a Junior Recruiter you will be responsible for:

Helping to develop recruiting strategies in order to identify qualified candidates through various recruiting tools

Evaluating candidate skills compared to job requirements through screening and interviewing

Complete necessary pre-employment processes such as reference and background checks, scheduling drug/alcohol/medical testing and verifying required certifications

Schedule candidates for testing, safety certifications, orientations, and other employment requirements

Recruit for multiple positions and locations at one time

Maintaining the Applicant Tracking Systems with up to date information

Assisting Corporate Recruiter, hiring managers, and candidates to streamline the hiring process

Build and maintain relationships with post secondary institutions and universities for recruitment of new graduates

Organize and attend career and job fairs/other recruiting related training

Work closely with management to ensure up to date manpower needs are being met

Design, administer and monitor advertising through various avenues such as print, social media, job boards, and radio
Qualifications:
-
Have a relevant HR degree, OR at least 6 months related recruiting/HR experience would be considered an asset

Those with specific trades recruitment experience, such as electrical and instrumentation, would be considered an asset

Also willing to accept applicants with no previous recruitment experience, but with an eagerness to learn the recruitment industry

Possess strong written and verbal communication skills

Must have good phone etiquette and the ability to speak with active and passive candidates

Excellent time management skills

Prior experience working with an Applicant Tracking System is an asset (AcquireTM preferred)

Proficient with Microsoft Office and Outlook

Must have the ability to work independently and take initiative
