Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively will ensure that every guest feels welcomed and valued. If you have a passion for hospitality and a desire to help create memorable experiences, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly as they arrive at the restaurant, ensuring a positive first impression.
Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using our POS system.
Assist guests with any inquiries about the menu or restaurant services.
Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, including the waiting area and host stand.
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about wait times and making reservations as needed.
Monitor guest flow and adjust seating accordingly to optimize service efficiency.
Provide assistance to guests as needed, ensuring their needs are met throughout their visit.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
A team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues in a busy restaurant setting.
