The Position: Regional Sales Manager

Based: North Toronto

Reporting to: Managing Director

North Toronto Auction, now proudly part of the United Auctions Group, remains Canada’s premier independent auction company. Located in Innisfil, Ontario, we continue to host weekly auto auctions and 8 major 2 day unreserved industrial events monthly public and dealer auctions at our expansive facility.

Lead a thriving auction business within a global organization, driving growth, and shaping industrial sales strategy. This high-impact role offers the opportunity to influence market success and lead a dynamic team to excellence.

The Job

In this role you will develop new accounts and build long-term customer relationships. You will source new business through a combination of techniques, including networking, cold calling, supplied advertising, direct mailing, and other proactive prospecting methods.

The core element of this role is to secure industrial equipment consignments to fill the auction yard ahead of each sale.
Work with companies in wide range of industries, including construction, oilfield, equipment sales and rental, mining, transportation, utilities, government, etc.
Strategic Planning – Tailoring sales plans and commercial strategies to drive business growth.
Key Account Management – Building and maintaining relationships with major local consignors.
Building an Industrial Sales Team – Training, mentoring, and motivating onboarded sales representatives.
Performance Management – Setting targets and tracking progress through KPIs.
Attending auctions and trade shows.

Essential Requirements:

Valid Driver’s Licence
Proven experience in industrial sales, with a track record of managing a successful sales team.
Extensive leadership experience in the auction industry or related sectors (e.g., heavy equipment, industrial assets, construction or agriculture.)
Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards related to asset sales and auctions.
Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

The Person

We seek a strategic, results-driven leader with deep expertise in the industrial industry, financial acumen, and market insight. The ideal candidate excels in optimizing operations, driving revenue growth and leading high-performing teams.

Essential Requirements

Valid Driver’s Licence
A minimum of 5 years in a similar role within the industrial sector (e.g., heavy equipment, industrial assets, construction or agriculture equipment)
Strong understanding of machinery valuation, bidding processes, and market dynamics.
Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards related to asset sales and auctions.
Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Have or be eligible to obtain an OMVIC Dealer’s licence
