Job Summary & Responsibilities:
The position welder/fabricator reports directly to the Shop Manager. The individual is responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work area. The successful candidate will be supporting the fabrication department in the construction of custom rebar products.
Qualifications:
Job Duties
· Perform safety checks before using any equipment
· Practice careful and proper use of machinery and tools
· Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area at all times
· Read blueprints or sketches in order to weld, assemble and fabricate parts accurately and efficiently based on drawings and instructions provided
· Cut rebar rods to required lengths using shearline
· Bend, weld and tie rebar together
· Read a tape measure in both imperial and metric
· Physically capable of frequently lifting 10-40lbs
· Safely work in various positions for lengthy periods of time (bend, squat, kneel, stand)
· Safely use overhead lifting equipment and forklifts for safe material handling
· Prepare products for incoming and outgoing shipments

- Monday to Thursday 7 am- 4:30 pm, Friday 7am- 3pm
