Full job description

CIMCO is looking for experienced Pipe Welders for our facility in Burlington. Responsibilities include assembling, welding (MIG, TIG), blueprint reading, and quality checks. Must thrive in a unionized, team-based environment. Openings are available primarily on our afternoon shift: Monday–Thursday, 2:45pm – 1:15am

Role Responsibilities

Perform structural welding/pipe welding on carbon steel and stainless steel components
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications
Performing MIG, TIG, Stick, and flux core welding depending on the project
Finding and fixing faults in weldments
Safely operate hoisting and rigging equipment to move and position heavy materials
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Carrying out pre-shift inspections.

Required Professional Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals and processes.
Experience in MIG, TIG welding
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration and adaptability are important.
Ability to problem solve, make decisions, plan and organize jobs and tasks.
Excellent interpersonal skills including oral and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with an exceptional eye for detail.
Experience in a unionized environment.
