Full job description

Are you an experienced tech professional ready to make an immediate impact on enterprise automation initiatives? Our Calgary client is seeking a Senior Automation Developer for an initial 6-month contract with strong potential for extension. This role offers full remote flexibility while supporting key digital modernization projects across public service IT teams. If you can step in with minimal ramp-up time to build and enhance cloud workflow solutions, this opportunity is ideal for you.

Collaborate directly with established enterprise architecture teams and technical project leaders.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise automation solutions using Microsoft Power Automate and Azure services.
Collaborate with technical teams and project stakeholders to translate operational needs into scalable automation solutions.
Integrate automated processes with SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365, and custom API connectors.
Build agentic workflows combining artificial intelligence, operational steps, and enterprise business processes.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing automated solutions, production workflows, and system incidents.
Create comprehensive technical documentation, support procedures, and knowledge transfer materials for internal teams.
Ensure all developed solutions align with client security, governance, architecture, and operational support standards.

Qualifications

6 to 8 years of experience in software application development with at least 6 years focused on Microsoft Power Platform.
3 or more years of hands-on experience managing ALM, environment management, and DevOps practices.
Proven experience integrating solutions with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Teams, and Azure services.
Experience building solutions with Microsoft Copilot Studio, AI Builder, Azure OpenAI, or generative AI technologies.
5 or more years of experience applying Power Platform Center of Excellence standards, governance, and security controls.
Relevant Microsoft certifications including PL-900, PL-400, AZ-104, or AZ-900 are considered an asset and applicants who hold these will be given preference.
