Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop foundational accounting skills within a dynamic financial services environment. The ideal candidate will support various accounting functions, including data entry, account reconciliation, and processing transactions using our accounting software platforms. Reporting to our Accounting Supervisor, the successful candidate will have relevant experience, good education background such a college degree in the specific field and provide references.

Duties

Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments including collection calls.
Enter financial data into our accounting software and perform data audit.
Process and post credit card/cash/cheque/electronic payments
Assist with costing procedures, and follow daily process
Collaborate with team members on month-end closing activities and prepare reports as needed
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information while adhering to company policies
Ability to perform basic math accurately and efficiently
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Strong analytical skills for account analysis and budgeting support
Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and other departments
Ability to adapt quickly to new software tools and accounting procedures
