Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of welding techniques, blueprint reading, and mechanical processes to produce high-quality products for various industrial applications. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects including ductwork, structural steel, and custom fabrications in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Perform TIG welding on various metals, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety protocols
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements
Use hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment such as press brake machines and plasma cutters to shape and assemble components
Operate cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment safely to move heavy materials and finished products
Measure materials accurately using calipers, tape measures, and other precision tools; perform basic math calculations for measurements and tolerances
Fabricate ductwork, structural parts, or custom components according to specifications
Assist with assembly of fabricated parts into final products or systems
Maintain a clean and organized work area; adhere to all safety procedures and protocols

Qualifications

Proven experience in TIG welding (preferably with MIG welding experience as well) in a manufacturing or construction environment
Mechanical knowledge of machinery, tools, and fabrication processes
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
Familiarity with rigging, crane operation, plasma cutting, press brake machines, and machining tools
Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and assembly procedures
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during fabrication processes
Experience with ductwork installation or construction projects is a plus
Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification preferred but not required
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
