Full job description

Office Administrator / Bookkeeper

Part-Time | Approximately 1-2 Days Per Week

We are looking for a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Office Administrator / Bookkeeper to join our concrete construction business on a part-time basis. This position would be approximately one to two days per week, with some flexibility in scheduling.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, has experience with QuickBooks and bookkeeping, and can help keep the financial and administrative side of the business organized and up to date.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping using QuickBooks
Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable
Prepare, send, and follow up on customer invoices
Process and organize supplier bills and payments
Assist with preparing estimates and quotes
Reconcile accounts and ensure financial information is accurate and current
Track job-related expenses and assist with job costing
Prepare and review profit and loss reports
Monitor outstanding receivables and assist with collections as needed
Organize office paperwork, receipts, and financial records
Provide general administrative support to the business owner and construction team
Help identify areas where expenses, job costs, or profitability could be improved

Qualifications

Previous bookkeeping or office administration experience
Experience with QuickBooks is required
Strong understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable
Comfortable working with invoices, estimates, expenses, and financial reports
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Able to work independently and manage priorities
Construction or trades industry experience is an asset, but not required
Experience with job costing and profit/loss analysis is an asset

What We Offer

Part-time position — approximately 1-2 days per week
